Ender's Game is my all time favorite book so I was going into this with mid to low expectation's. I thought it was really good. I think they did a pretty good job with adapting it from the book. I thought all the zero gravity scenes where awesome. I was happily surprised that they kept the mouse scene's didn't know how they'd pull it off.
My only gripe is I wish it would have been maybe 40mins longer so we could have spent more time with Ender at the Battle School. Because I don't think in the movie you had enough time to see just how unstoppable & revolutionary he was there.
& they did take out that whole side plot with Peter & Val which I was fine with because that stuff is my least favorite parts of the book anyways. & they did keep some of the violence but it was no where near the books level.
& I think they did the reveal at the end very well. I can still remember reading that for 1st time & I had to put the book down for awhile & let it set in & you understand how much of a tragedy the story was.
They did change some stuff about the end & I think that was so if they do make the sequels they can bring back the same actors.
