From a Christian/Catholic point of view, it could end any day now. However with that being said, it could've ended just six months after Jesus died.

The bible goes on to say Jesus would resurrect "soon", but it's been 2015 years and it hasn't happened. So who knows?

From a scientific point of view, the world is in no immediate threat to end soon.

They probably also said the world would end in 40 years like 100 years ago, some people are just stupid.

You should at least wait a few decades before making any of these prophetic claims.Let people forget 2012.

Not an Christian so can't say much about that but I've a science fiction in my mind about a lonely man who tries to survive after a world war against terrorism that destroyed most of the world population ( story is not developed yet it gonna take time ) and it's coincidence that it happens in 2055 probably one can't deny the possibility of something like this happen .

No one knows when the word will end, not even the angels.

As a Christian, I'll say this. Somebody that thinks they know when it'll happen will always be wrong. The Bible says that even Jesus doesn't know when it'll happen, and as such, saying we know would be downright arrogant. No joke, there's a view that Islam's Mahdi (apologies if I've misspelled the name) is the anti-christ. I myself don't believe this, because the anti-christ is supposed to "say blasphemous things and claim to be God." Obviously, if Muslim's had their Mahdi claiming to be God, they'd kill him.

In reality, I believe we aren't a degrading generation, but evil changes its face. We're better in some ways than the previous generations, worse than others. (for one thing, we're particularly whinny) I still feel that we have a long way to go before the world gets depraved enough for the entire world to have a single, legalized, cult following under one man. A very big, and very catastrophic event will probably take place first.

Some religions say calamities will happen before the end, although I doubt believe they give an exact time. Science proclaims the world/life on earth would be destroyed in a few billion years, when the sun becomes a white dwarf.

No, people have been proclaiming that they were living in the end of days for thousands of years, and will probably keep claiming so for years to come. Although technically according to many Christians, the "End of Days" has been happening since Jesus came to earth, but I'm not sure how that works. I don't think it's the "End Times" anytime soon.

Also, the Book of Revelation is an apocalypse about Rome's persecution of Jews and Christians after the destruction of the 2nd temple. The ***** of Babylon is Rome and the image it describes resembles it's image of a woman on seven hills was used on Roman coins. The word "antichrist" also never actually appears in Revelation either. You have "The Beast" that is resurrected but that's a reference to Emperor Nero, whom there were mass rumors about being resurrected in the late 1st Century. In Gemmatria, the numerical value of his name (Neron Kaiser) in Hebrew(נרון קסר/NRWN QSR) equals 666. It's all historical, like all of the other Jewish apocalyptic literature and not some hidden doomsday prophesy of the future.

I agree with everything, except BOLD (I am one of the Christians that think ends times began the moment Jesus fulfilled his purposes and left). Im interested in why you disagree that end times hasn't started?
