Are you sure that interpretation is objective and not the result of a fanboy inside you? (no offense)

You know, this argument could work if Naruto had shown that kind of behavior in the past, but if this is true, this would be the first time throughout the series, in other words... a great asspull. The only thing that looked 'alike' this was Naruto's looking into Sasuke's heart in the battle of the bridge, but believe me, I don't know if this was Naruto looking into Hinata's eyes and 'falling in love' or at least having a 'feeling' that could be translated into a possible romantic relationship (because everything I have seen from Naruto to Hinata until know perfectly fits into the deep friendship category). The thing about Naruto holding Hinata hand is as strong as the Sakura hug if we talk about japanese culture since both of them are some kind of expression of 'love', or maybe these could be seen as a 'declaration'. But in both cases, talking objectively, they were an expresion of relieve, careness and comfort (because Hinata didn't react with jealousy when Sakura hugged Naruto, and Sakura didn't react with jealousy or anger when Naruto took Hinata's hand, knowing that Sakura DOES this when Naruto is doing something of this kind. You should watch Naruto Shippuden movies to confirm this). These were actions, and it takes too much imagination to bring a link between these actions and pairing.

Well, of course, your interpretation is good, interesting, and probably a lot of people who wants HinaRuto relationship agrees with you. But in order to take these things with that confidence in your words, you should at least be sure that the signs you saw were not onesided (not even by probability).

Did She not complete the 64 palm sequence after having the flash back of looking at Naruto eyes? and the next flashback was both holding Hand. Are you forgetting sines Naruto became a Sage then Mastered Kurama His senses even when not power up have become sharper than ever and each power up takes His senses to a New level, call it the Sage Legacy.

She did this thinking about Neji and Naruto, but it wasn't Naruto thinking about Hinata, it was the otherwise. And no, there is no proof of Naruto being able to sense emotions outside his KCM. Even with this being possible, it's still an expresion of deep friendship as I said earlier. As much, it was just empathy.

That, and the common sense thing that in middle of war Naruto doesn't have time to think about love and cheesyness, he can only give comfort and raise morale to his companions, so basically, while Naruto is inside the war, it's not very wise to assume that he is going to waste his energies into these matters.

I invite you to put a hand on your heart and ask yourself:

- Did really Naruto think about Hinata romantically when he took her hand?
- Is Naruto the kind of bastard that would take adventage of a weakness situation where a girl just lost part of his family in front of her eyes?

If I answer these questions, it's quite easy... no-no. Naruto is not that kind of bastard.

Its more heading towards Naruto-Sakura becouse Naruto doesn't seem to take "that holding hinata's hand thing" seriously enaugh to tell his father that she is his girlfriend and not Sakura.
And if u look at the anime you could clearly see that even in the fillers or movies (road to ninja) Naruto is always with sakura. Obviously lots of fillers were made that kinda favoured Naruto/sakura couple, This kinda shows that the developers are aware of how things will go and probably got some insight from kishimoto.
Only my opinion though

Kishi sucks at writing romance.

NaruSaka DO NOT WANT. They are best friends and Sakura should be Naruto's best man at his wedding and no one else.

Sasuke is too broken to have a normal relationship, but he will probably do it out of duty to revive his clan.

I still prefer SaiSakura and LoveLetterSakura over SasuSaku, but whatever.

NaruHina definitely.

I use to ship Karin and Sasuke, but Karin is a masochistic ***** who DISERVES suigetsu for being such a ruined character (plus I think Suigetsu falls for Karin since she is so easy to annoy)

I want other characters like Yamato, Anko, and Juugo to find happiness.

That's odd, we have Naruto who had feelings for Sakura from the beginning of the manga to now, and we have Sakura who has started developing feelings for him throughout part 1 and part 2. I myself would prefer Naruhina, but Naruto to this date hasn't shown any romantic feelings towards Hinata, and the hand-holding scene was downplayed as friendship. Sigh.

My props, girl. Well said. Even Sakura's hug could be taken as a romantic hint in Japan, as well as the hand helding, but Hinata didn't even got jealous, so in the end these signs were just teasing from Kishimoto, as ever.

I don't think about HinaRuto relationship finding a good path since Hinata feels a genuine admiration and love for the Kyuubi Jinchuuriki, but the last one feels friendship and lastly shown a brotherly expression when he took her hand to comfort her and raise her morale, making that love feeling onesided (so yes, this can't be called Naruhina... it's HinaRuto all the way).

As for NaruSaku, in the first chapter of part 2 Sakura clearly got attracted to the Jinchuuriki, and the only reason Naruto has not being shown giving some romantic expression about her are two:

- He knows Sakura loves Sasuke
- She is not as honest as she could be

So Naruto found dirty clothes that have to get washed until he goes to see them again. Until the time comes, he will keep joking telling his father that Sakura is a girlfriend... sort of.
