Kakashi says Sasuke has mastered Rock Lee's style. Lee has more experience using it, but Sasuke has the same moves and skills. He copied all of Lee's moves using the Sharingan. He even invented the Lion's Barrage based off the beginning part of Lee's Lotus. He was able to do the same movements and kicks and even Gaara was having flashbacks of his fight against Lee during his match against Sasuke. Sasuke is hence just as skilled as Lee. There's no manga proof that Lee has improved in part 2 in taijutsu beyond Sasuke's improvements. Sasuke was able to beat 1000s of curse mark users in base using taijutsu/kenjutsu. Also Sasuke was able to speed blitz the shit out of Deidara and kick his ass in taijutsu, while Lee was barely keeping up with Deidara with no arms and with 3 other people helping him. As soon as Sasuke starts fighting Part 2 Lee, Lee will have the advantage initially with his improvements, and then Sasuke will learn his moves with Sharingan and then demolish him.
Kakashi said Sasuke mastered Lee's style? Well Lee is mastering Gai's style; and he is not as good as him.

Lee was able to disarm someone like Kisame from samehada with a single kick; he haven't shown much but his strength, speed, stamina and taijutsu skills are better than part 1 Sasuke in databooks.
How can someone who can maintain something for a short period of time would be "as skilled". Not to mention lower physical strength. And of course gates are way advanced taijutsu skills then regular one; how can Sasuke can keep up when Lee opens gates.
Sasuke can't demolish Lee when Lee knew everything Sasuke throws at him. He can maintain the speed for short period of time; he can't become a taijutsu master who would be enough to overwhelm Lee in that period of time. While Lee is having "advantage"; Sasuke would already got tired from using that speed.
It was funny a few manga chapters ago all the other K11 guys were showing new abilities to show their growth from part 1. Except Lee and Tenten. Part 2 Lee has no feats without kyuubi chakra that are different from Part 1 Lee. Hence I'm not speculating on his improvement. I think you don't know how Sharingan works. It copies techniques and skills, the only thing it doesn't copy is physical ability. Sasuke worked on his speed while he was training with Kakashi and quickly within months got to Lee's speed level. So for those few minutes that Sasuke is able to use that speed he is essentially Rock Lee + Sharingan. And on top of that he can add CM which may or may not cancel out the Gates.

How wont it help? With CM he was able to crush Naruto(pre Kyuubi chakra) for a while. He crushed Team Sound who just fodderized Lee, and that's before Sasuke got the taijutsu/speed upgrade. His strength and speed and chakra are massively upgraded with CM.

I doubt Gamabunta would willingly fight kids, especially for part 1 Naruto.
Team Guy was still overall stronger than team 7 at this point.
Edit: scratch that, I just looked at the restrictions. Lee can't go past 3rd gate, and Naruto and Sasuke can go jin mode and curse mark. This is actually a lot closer than I think. I think I'd go for team 7 in this case.

Just to add onto this post, Sasuke before leaving the village had no trouble going into CS1 against the Sound Ninja 4.The only thing holding him back was his will to not give into Oro's power but when enraged he doesn't hesitate to unleash it.
