Chapter 2-A Captive Will
Previous Chapter:
Authors Note: I didn't like the direction my last chapter 2 was heading so I remade it, rather, I remade the ending of chapter 2. Just a slight tweak to go in my desired direction. I don't know how many people read it so it might not even effect most people. I just put this here to avoid confusion. Enjoy.

One day we will meet at a crossroad and go separate ways. One day we will meet again as changed people. One day we will walk down the same road.

~~~
Eliza made her way to the police headquarters eager to meet with Zeke and learn more about the Tuxedo Dragons, but when she arrived the building was empty. It looked as if a cyclone had rampaged throughout the hallways of the now dark building. The lights were dim and there was no sound to be heard. Eliza drew her gun as she made her way to the interrogation room. Her heart seemed to pound with every step forward, and her skin begin to feel a burning sensation. With her shaking hands she opened the door slowly and then involuntary gasped in response to what she saw. Zeke was standing over two officers. He was covered in blood that was not his own and then he slowly turned and stared into Eliza’s eyes with his cold, demonic expression. With a sly grin Zeke dropped the battered body he was holding and raised his gun at Eliza who was immobilized by shock. “Ha, Ha. Eliza, it is time for you to wake up!” Zeke then fired the gun as everything around her was devoured by darkness.
“Eliza it is time for you to wake up.” Eliza shot out of bed into in upright position as she opened her eyes. She was panting and her heart was racing as she tried to bring herself back into the realm of reality. Her A.H.A automated house assistant was performing the daily wake up alarm. A.H.A were invented sometime 3 years ago and had become widely popular. They were fully customizable, but Eliza maintained the basic female personality option. The morning alarm stopped when Eliza was fully out of bed. She began washing her face as she tried to erase the recent nightmare while attempting to comprehend it at the same time.
“I don’t understand what has been going on with me lately. I’m usually more stable than this. A.H.A how many minutes before 8:00.”
“It is 8:34 Eliza. Are you attempting a time reset?”
If Eliza needed a reason to forget about her dream she, found one as she slipped on the bathroom floor after hearing the current time. “Whaaaaaaaaat?! I set you to wake me up at 7:00!
“Alarm successfully initiated at 7:00AM. Alarm interrupted, cut off time 7:02 AM. Back up alarm initiated 8:00 AM. Backup alarm end time 8:04 AM. Is this any help?”
“Ohh no. I must have hit the snooze.”
“Would you like me to reschedule your appointments?”
“No, it’s fine. I will just have to speed everything up.” Technically it was Eliza’s day off, but she wanted to meet with the chief before the Zeke would be moved to another facility, so she rushed like a madwoman. She quickly put on a top, jeans and finished brushing her teeth as she stumbled into the car. She brought her gun, but left her uniform behind. They would have spares at H.Q if she needed a uniform. She put on her police siren to weave through traffic throwing caution and morals to the wind.
“Before I go to the H.Q I have something very important to do.”
A few minutes later Eliza arrived at the local donut shop contributing to the whole cops and donuts stereotype. She burst through the door and began cutting in line with claims of an emergency.
“Thank you for choosing Golden Donuts. Please come again.” The cashier said as he just finished with a customer before she nearly crashed into the cash register.
“Excuse me sir! I’m a cop and I’m in a rush!”
“O-Oh, did something happen here. Are one of my employees in trouble?”
“I need two chocolate donuts with sprinkles, and a small coffee.”
“…Um okay that will be $3.78 cents.”
“Here’s five, you can keep the change.”
Eliza grabbed the bag and was about to make her way through the doors when a randomn customer began to speak to her. He was pointing to the cop car that was still flashing the red, blue lights, and emitting the dreaded noise of a police siren.
“Isn’t that your patrol car out there?”
“Uhhhhh why you ask? Heh. Heh.”
“Shouldn’t you be saving somebody instead of getting donuts?”
Something snapped, the room felt heavy, the lights seemed dim, and the ground felt as if it was moving right beneath their feet. Eliza was angry and this random person was going to feel the ultimate sword known as her tongue. “And shouldn’t you be at a salad bar. Mind your own damn business?” Just as soon as she struck the man with her words she was already in her car breaking all kinds of traffic rules while stuffing her face in anger. “Who does he think he is talking to me like that?”
Her rant would continue all the way to the police headquarters. She held a stern and determined face as she made her way towards the interrogation room. It was 9:15 and miraculously it would appear that they just started. When she walked in Cobalt and Chief Stone were there. Cobalt was already in the middle of interrogation, but it seemed ineffective. Zeke looked rather relaxed in his chair even with the hand cuffs. Then he did something that made Eliza’s heart come to a stop. In the midst of Cobalt’s interrogation Zeke looked straight into Eliza’s eyes as if he knew exactly where she was.
“B-but that’s impossible. He shouldn’t be able to see me through that glass window. I-I just walked in-“ Eliza whispered to herself.
“Eliza did you say something?”
“No, Chief Stone. How are you today?”
“How considerate of you to ask. I am doing well today. I was surprised to see you walk through those doors Eliza. Today is you day off you know, and you don’t look so good.”
“I’m fine sir. Thank you for your concern.”
“You’re as tough as your father Eliza. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised at your arrival. This is one of the Tuxedo dragons after all. We haven’t seen one of them in this room for a long time. I suppose you want to speak with the prisoner?”
She would have responded normally; however, she was looking through the glass again. Zeke was still looking at her with those cold eyes. She could not focus on the chief and it seemed as if they were the only two people in that room.
“Eliza?”
“Oh, um yes I would like to speak to him.”
“Maybe, you can get better results. This guy hasn’t budged.”
“I will try sir.”
Eliza walked into the all-white room in the middle of one of Cobalt’s sentences. He sounded rather infuriated, and Zeke didn’t seem to notice he was there at all. Even with his unlimited confidence one could easily see what this was doing to his ego. He merely smiled in slight embarrassment and stormed out of the room. Eliza approached the chair that was stationed across the other side of the table from where Zeke was sitting. Time slowed down at this moment. She could hear the echoes of every breath, step, and movement she made. She sat down across from him and made a side glance toward the interrogation window. She could not see through it. She then looked back at him and then time returned to normal. She was in her element.
“Did you know I was here?” She said in a serious tone. Her emotions seemed to be cast aside just for this particular moment.
“You can something like that.” Zeke said with a smile. Cobalt and the chief were watching over the conversation taking place. Cobalt began to turn red again as he laughed out loud.
“Can you believe that chief? He hasn’t said a word all day and with no form of resistance he just opens up to her. I guess it’s because she is a woman. I guess the man cannot escape his primal instinct. HAHAHA!”
“No, Cobalt I’m afraid the roots run much deeper than that.” Cobalt’s smile disappeared as the Chief did not further clarify his statement. He just looked on into the room, and Cobalt quickly followed suit. Inside the room Zeke’s smile faded, and Eliza was still determined to find out more about the Tuxedo Dragons.
“Zeke. You should tell us what you know, we might be able to help you.”
“Help me? Continue, I’m waiting for the punch line.”
“You can pretend to be tough Zeke, but I know you fear-“
“Fear what? Death, prison? Neither is new to me. Whether I tell you anything or not is irrelevant as I am either going to get killed by you guys or the tuxedo dragons since I managed to get caught? I think it would be pretty funny to let you guys stay in the dark when you feel so close to success.”
“So is this all a game to you?”
“Don’t get me wrong this is all serious, but hey, what can you do?”
“In a few days or even in the next few hours you will be transferred to Law Central and eventually placed in Prison Zero II-“
“Prison Zero II? Is it like the first? Are the hallways all carved from the earth? Is it built deep underground with no windows or trace of daylight? Are the ventilations poor? Does every breath drain you of he will to live? Does the fact that it is an underground prison make the heat almost unbearable? Does it retain the name of the first on, hell on earth? No guards, no officers? Are we just left down there to fend for ourselves, fight over the little food they give us knowing good well it is not enough for all the prisoners there. Will I have to watch someone consuming a dead body due to the intense hunger pain in their body? Or have conditions improved since I left that place?”
Eliza was stunned by the words coming out of Zeke’s mouth. He had been in Prison Zero? For all practical purposes that place might have been worse than the death penalty. Prison Zero II was bad but it was nothing like the first one he described. It had collapsed 5 years ago and that was pretty much all Eliza knew about it. “I see.”
“Make no mistake I don’t plan on dying like a dog. If anyone of you want me dead I’ll make sure it is not a pleasant experience for you.”
Eliza stared at him for a few seconds before getting up and leaving without a word. He was dead serious; his face said it all. She walked through the doors and spoke before the chief or Cobalt could.
“It would be nearly impossible to persuade him to help us.”
“I know. They sure make em tough. Here we are with the potential to bring the Tuxedo’s down, but we get stuck with this guy. I suppose they are all that way. He will be Central’s problem now.”
“Central? Chief we can’t send him off now? We will never have a chance to-“
“Wrong, you mean you won’t have a chance to get information. I understand this is personal, but it has to end here. He won’t talk, and given his status he should have been sent to central hours ago. Let Central take care of it.”
“Chief, you know as well as I do how corrupt the higher ups are. Once we send him off the Tuxedo’s will kill him for sure. It is better if we deal with him right here.”
“That’s enough Eliza! What you are suggesting is preposterous! If Central ever found out we were keeping something like this away from them they would shut us down for sure. Now leave us, and take your day off. There is nothing more we can do here.”
Eliza looked down as she saw the last glimmer of hope disappear right before her. She knew that she would never see Zeke again, and he would be dead by tomorrow. “Understood Chief Stone. I apologize for my outburst.” With that Eliza walked out of the interrogation room and made her way outside only to be interrupted by Andrew.
“ELIIIIIIIIIIIIZAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! I’m so glad you’re here! You have raised the curtains and allowed the sunlight to shine right to my he-“
Before Andrew could finish his sentence the sound of a truck speeding off took place of his voice. This was a new way Eliza had found to avoid Andrew’s advances. There was force, simply ignoring him, and now she would simply leave while he was talking.
“Man that guy just doesn’t know when to quit. I suppose I should just head home. Ugh, I was so close. Isn’t there anything I can do? Perhaps I should just trust the chief, and allow Central to take care of it.”
~~~~~~~

The next morning ths sun had barely come out and it was still pretty dark outside. Two officers opened the prison cell with their guns drawn. “You are to be transferred to Prison Zero II in Central. “We will be taking Light Tram No.5. If you resist we have been ordered to kill you.”

“Now why on earth would I resist. I’m a real nice guy and I’d love nothing more than to go to prison.”

“Silence Prisoner! You have the right to remain silent!”

“Eh, no. I can’t believe you actually used that outdated line. Try another one.”

“Uh speak now or forever hold your peace?”

“That’s a wedding dumbass. Try a little harder, you got potential.”

“Okay, okay. How about this one. Don’t open your mouth punk, unless you would like bullets for breakfast.”

“Now you’re getting the hang of it. I kinda liked that one.”

“SILENCE! DO NOT CONVERSE WITH THE PRISONER,” The chief bellowed as he swelled up. The other officers shook nervously while Zeke could only laugh at their ignorance. The chief began to check off a list of preparations as he stood by the entrance of the train. Just as he had finished the two officers brought Zeke face to face with the chief.

“The compartment you will be in is made out of the hardest minerals found on earth. Your handcuffs are created out of a new technology that sends a body crippling electric shock should any force be exerted on them, or if you pass a certain range from the train. Aboard the train will be District 48, Radiant Highlands’ finest. There are also several weapons built into this train so if you have any ideas of a pathetic attempt at escaping us; it would be ill advised.”

“Sorry, I was too busy suffering from the blinding light emitting from your shiny head.”

In the blink of an eye the chief threw a forceful blow at Zeke’s face that would have sent him straight to the ground if not for the two officers holding him up. With blood running down his face Zeke still smiled at the chief who had not changed his expression. “**** off old man.”

“Take him into the train. I do not want to see him again.”

“Yes sir!” The police officers said in unison. They then took him inside the train, locked him in his room and sped off. As it disappeared into the distance the chief turned back around and re-entered the building.

It had been a few hours and the sun was just starting to come up. “Are you receiving this feed? Is that the target," a man in a brown cloak said as he was flying several meters away from the train. He was using some sort of mechanical boots that allowed flight through jet like propulsions.

"Please state your name and code number."

"Vulcan Code 81"

“Welcome Vulcan, you have permission to engage.”

“Alright then. Let’s get it started.” The man said almost playfully. Meanwhile Zeke was on the train reading a book that was allowed by the supervising officers. It was the latest vampire love series. After a long period of unpopularity it had regained much of its pervious acquired fame. Zeke seemed awfully pissed about the whole thing.

"This is what they allow us to read? I would rather have my death penalty right now. Yeesh. Al of this human werewolf crap seems like an excuse for bestiality. Yo, losers! Can I get another book? Anything, is better." The officers in the area ignored him while others just snickered. A couple of female officers got offended but one sat down right in front of him. Zeke glanced at the officer and then threw his book behind him. The book hit a officer looking out the window, and when he looked at Zeke there was no evidence that he was the one who threw it even thoug one could assume. Even Zeke's efforts to seem innocent by pointing at the officer sitting in front of him just made him even more suspisious. As the officer who got hit moved away the female officer spoke up.

"You seem relaxed Zeke."

"Wait....you are..."

"Yes, I am Eliza, and we need to talk."

Outside of the train Vulcan had finally finished his preparations. Flying roughly 8 meters from the train he began to speak to his operator. "Hell Zone is now a go. Permission to commence."

"Permission granted."

"Bye Bye Zeke." Immediately after this the area of the military grade train that was holding Zeke blew up in an instant, and violent explosion.
