morover he didnt use any futon as itachi doesnt have fuuton, he used yasaka magatama which is a technique from soosano. nothing stops sasuke from using his perfect soosano and slashing the core as like i said before ps is his most powerful soosano and its strike should be more than capable of ending ct or sasuke can just take out deva himself by launching an arrow at him.

sasukes ps is lot more powerful than itachis soosano. itachi used a v2 there, ps is the highest form of soosano achieved and through madara(ems) we have seen it demonstrate great cutting power to slash mountains(in madaras case at least). not trying to give sasuke that feat as sasuke is not madara but his ps should still be capable of producing the required firepower to take out the core at its beginning stage at least, sasuke also possess arrows in his arsenal, he can switch it up. beisdes this is deva path, nothing suggests its ct would be at the same level of nagato himself who channels his chakra between the paths. sasuke can deal with its ct just fine
