Youre forgetting that itachi and sasuke were not fighting to kill. Also sasuke could have defended himself with susanoo. Yet itachi protected him with his. Kishi did that for feels.

Kabuto has counters for everytjing sasuke has. Genjutsu wont work on him, DSM Kabuto's reflexes are on a whole new level, and Sasuke doesn't have a counter for sound sage enhaced sound genjtusu. He needed Itachi's help.

Kabuto has counters for everytjing sasuke has. Genjutsu wont work on him, DSM Kabuto's reflexes are on a whole new level, and Sasuke doesn't have a counter for sound sage enhaced sound genjtusu. He needed Itachi's help.

That's assuming Sasuke sits there and lets Kabuto successfully detonate White Rage. Amaterasu burns up the fluid dragon, or Enton Arrow obliterates it, thus no explosion. His reflexes are not on a whole new level. EMS precognition lets Sasuke react as fast as BSM Naruto. Kabuto's reactions are nowhere near that level. Hell, early Juubito fight Sasuke was already matching KCM Naruto in reaction speed.

Sound Genjutsu is the only thing that might screw him up. Though going underground via Aoda or jumping far out of range with Susanoo while Kabuto forms his bone and his Tayuya clone lets him counter. Kabuto firsts has to use Kimimaro Mateki, where he forms a flute out of a bone, and then he needs to switch to Tayuya to use the Sound Genjutsu.

Continuously pressuring him with Susanoo also prevents him from setting up the Sound Genjutsu. He won't be evading it's strikes due to the increased precognitive abilities, and every time he gets hit by the Enton Blade, he needs to use Oral Rebirth and won't be able to use any other jutsu.

Point? Not only is this an open location but sasuke's susanoo has legs, it easily jumps out of the way. Even if hakugeki can disrupt his susanoo it won't work w/ intel & the increased mobility.

Again, w/ the aid of legged susanoo he jumps out of the way & disrupts his flute playing, or prevents him from using it all together considering it takes multiple steps in order to perform.

At the point Sasuke fought kabuto, he had just gotten EMS. So he couldn't maintain Susanoo under the effects of white rage. But itachi could maintain it. Which means with practice of susanoo, Sasuke could maintain it.

for this battle, I'm assuming max EMS Sasuke, the guy who fought juubito and wrapped kyuubi in a susanoo. He could maintain susanoo in that condition neg diff.
