Most likely because it was named a Kinjutsu by the manga, but I might be wrong.

Yes they would have to. Otherwise they could spam Izanagi or Izanami all the time without losing their eyes. They couldn't lose.

Come on people think about it. Izanagi or Izanami Naruto (or anyone) is dead, that's the reality they just made. Seriously, if they didn't lose their sight they, Sasuke, would just use it over and over and over and he'd be invincible. Also he'd win every single fight. Come on think about it. If the technique is used, the user loses their eyesight. Plain. And. Simple.

As we all know; extensive use of the Mangekyō Sharingan will make you lose your eyesight. I believe that Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan just stops the deterioration of eyesight while being used; which means that you can spam Amaterasu / Tsukuyomi all you want and still not lose eyesight. However, with a kinjutsu that specifically sacrifices eyesight for amazing power, an EMS user will indeed lose eyesight if using said technique.

If this is not true, then you have a paradox on your hands; an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. The problem is; if one exists, the other cannot.

I agree; EMS or not; Izanagi will remove your eyesight.

Yes, it would. Otherwise Madara could have spammed Izanagi and Izanami in his fight with Hashirama. He's of true Uchiha blood so he could have used Izanagi even better than Danzo.

He would have been invincible (literally)
-Make himself untouchable
-Determine his opponent's fate
