So, i was looking back over last weeks chapter.
Itachi states that Izanami is a technique that is used to control people who misuse Izanagi.
It is used when there is more than one person using Izanagi - and therefore a conflict in which destiny to decide.
But if so many people could use Izanagi over and over - how many people had the Mangekyo, and how many people had both Senju and Uchiha DNA.
This is unexplained so far by Kishi within the manga and revolves around the history of the So6P which we have no idea about so far.
This is my theory:
The EMS - an ability which a few people may have had in the past -
MAY prevent the loss of eyesight while using either Izanami and Izanagi.
After all - who would give up an eye just to punish someone who's misusing Izanagi?
In addition, how would it be possible for past Uchiha's and sharingan users to spam Izanagi as Itachi mentions that 'there is a much larger risk than losing ones eyesight' - and be trapped in their own illusionary worlds if they could only use Izanagi for a total of 2 minutes.
On top of that, I don't know how arrogant an Izanagi user would be once they've used they're 2 minutes of Izanagi up and are totally blind. - therefore contradicting Itachi's reasoning for Izanami's creation.
This is almost undeniable proof that EMS prevents losing eyesight from use of Izanagi and Izanami.
Note: Tobi is not confirmed to have EMS as he is not actually Madara - and therefore - losing his eyesight through use of Izanagi vs Konan doesn't disprove this theory.
