I mean he summoned a fox to deal with hasihrama i wouldnt call this very powerful himself.

The 3rd was holding back the fox during the invasion with minato in his old age.

I wouldnt be so hasty with this one.

The thrid hokage is one those characters like hasihrama we dont know what they are fully capable of.
