I think his hype is well-deserved, he can defeat many of shinobi in the Narutoverse.

people overrate him because they compare his yonger self when he was alive to his edo form where he has mokuton, mastery of his rinnegan, infinite chakra and an undestroyable body.

If it was actually him in his actual mortal body without kabutos enhancements vs the alliance, then madara would lose because of chakra exhaustion,

Ill put in quotes here:

no madara wouldnt have lost due to chakra exhaustion. you people need to drop this half-assed 'argument' when judging a living madara. not having limitless chakra=/=running out of chakra without a doubt.

madaras chakra feats are:
-controlling the kyuubi for a large portion of his fight with hashirama(controlling biju is extremely chakra taxing)
-using his own map rewriting techs in conjunction with controlling the kyuubi.
-fighting for a full day against hashirama who even a tiny portion of him allows danzo to wield 13 sharingan.
-constantly using ninjutsu that can rewrite maps for a full day.
-contributed 50% of the destruction that made the valley of the end.
-the battle was never even implied to come to a battle of attrition.

this chakra argument that you people like to use just makes it seem like you are grasping at straws because none of the current characters have any chakra issues whatsoever. when you discuss shinobi on this level, you need to drop this argument because kishi made it clear that they can pretty much do whatever they want.

No he didn't he asked if the man who got stomped by Hashirama is overhyped, EMS Madara did none of the things you listed besides use the perfect Sussano granted he had unlimited chakra
