EMS Izuna & Madara

I actually thought about this a while back before the Hashirama's flashbacks. So I know for plot reasons it never happened. Still wouldn't it have been cool... hell even convenient, if Madara and Izuna simply swapped eyes to obtain EMS once they had already acquired MS? They were said to be near equals and they were atop the uchiha food chain.
I know Hashi and Tobi stood in their way, but I'd imagine it would have been a lot harder to defeat two EMS users.
What do you guys think?
Do you think it would have made any difference or not?
Could Tobirama have beaten EMS Izuna?
I want to hear others opinions. Sorry if this specific point of view or topic has already been brought up before. I'm trying to make more original threads, since every thread seems the same lately. It's a challenge since most subjects have been touched on, on one level or another.

This. You cannot have 2 pairs of EMS with 2 pairs of MS.

2 pairs = 1.

If Izuna wasn't mortally wounded, then yes, the ems Duo could prob beat them both. (With Kurama).

Thats if the ems worked that way, which it doesn't.

well from my understanding, the EMS is obtained by taking the eyes of another powerful uchiha

why not? didn't madara take izuna's eyes any way? So Izuna could've just taken his aswell. unless madara just threw his original eyes away.

Considering that no one before them had EMS, they had no prior knowledge of what would happen if they swapped eyes

Madara was going blind and Izuna was dying, I'm assuming he took them so he could have his brother's "light" figuratively

probably, but as I said no one before them had an EMS, so they probably didn't want to risk their eyes at the time

yeah but once he took his eyes and gained EMS, there might have been an outside chance Izuna could gained some unique ability to save his life. Just saying, If Madara cared so deeply for his brother he should have taken the risk. since he was going to die anyway.
