When people say EMS is outside I think you're wrong. EMS is internal clan power and can only be made by using the MS eyes of another blood uchiha. So internally it's a clan power and can be only be awoken by a uchiha. not an outside power source like the bijuu or alien power up imo. Ty uchiha sharingan solo

Clan wise it isn't an outside power.

On an individual bases it is an outside power.

Not really. Only Kushina and Karin have chakra chains and it isn't even the same as the outer paths(Mazo) vitality is all they have and the Senju's have that as well. Not really. Naruto is only compatible because Kushina was a jin when she had Naruto and Naruto inherited her chakra. Heck Minato became a jin and he's nothing to the Otsutsuki lineage. Ashura don't have Juubi chakra either also not even every Uzumaki can be a jin.

Kurama was owned by the leaf which was founded by the senju and uchiha.

Kurama wasn't owned by the leaf, there's a reason the village went out of their way to get Kushina instead of choosing any leaf ninja to be the jinchuuriki.

The EMS is simply the Mangekyo Sharingan without blindness. If swapping eyes meant you'd get the powers of the former user along with your current powers then that would be an outside power source. Since Sasuke never gained Tsukuyomi or any new powers from Itachi, along with Madara concerning Izuna, it's safe to say that it isn't an outside power source.

The Sharingan is their Kekkei Genkai, it's their own power from their DNA. Swapping eyes with someone especially when it doesn't give new abilities is not gaining an outside power because no powers are added.

An outside power is something that you rely on to give you strength that's usually sentient or does not belong to you, as in the Curse-mark and the Nine-Tails. The Sharingan is not an outside power if wielded by an Uchiha and the EMS is simply a negation of blindness. The problem is that fans of Naruto don't like the odds when SM Naruto is against EMS Sasuke but that's not my problem, Naruto could still win.

It's more than just blindness, it grants the user the chakra that's locked within those eyes, it's purpose is to give transmigrants the full eye power of Indra (Perfect Susanoo). In a way it's the same process as Rinnegan awakening hence why only 2 Uchiha have managed to awaken it in the entire clan's history.
