TBH- Kendrick ddn't diss anyone today at all. In fact he might be the realist MC out there. He told all of them straight up "Even though we're cool and we laugh and joke around and shit at the end of the day we're in competition with each other" In fact I think he was paying respects to them in a sort of way saying something like "You're up there and just so you know I'm coming for your spot" It's the people who weren't mentioned by name who should be worried and he did mention Eminem in the song he called him one of the best MC's. But people act like this is the first time Kendrick said something like this back in 2010 he did the same thing on his free style of Monster by Kanye "I'm the best rapper alive! People gotta stop living in the past. Just like how the older generation looks at Pac and Biggie and all of the other legends, that's how my generation(the ones who listen to the real rap) look up to Kendrick, Cole, Eminem, Crooked I, etc. This is why rap isn't evolving, people keep saying "Learn about rap, look at Pac and Biggie." No disrespect to the legends, but they're called legends for a reason: They're done. It's time for the ones that looked up to them to become the ones that will be looked up to. Only then will rap evolve past shit like Young Money and Lil B.

I know what you mean, I was in born in NY too, and since K-Dot reps Cali and Compton, that line doesn't suit him, but it's one line in a great verse, can't look at the forest for the trees.
