As Elissa escorts the rest of the villagers out of harms way, she sees Solona running towards the monster.
Without hesitation Solona attacks the monster with a powerful slash that not only cuts the monster in half but freezes it solid.
"Wow Solona I did'nt know you had that kind of power!" Neria said as she is amazed at Solona's newfound skill.
"Yeah, some spirit called Aries helped me by giving me this sword."Solona replied as she showed Neria the sword Aries gave her.
A spirit huh? That must have been your guardian spirit,every person who has the kind of powers we do possesses a spirit that can come to their aid."Neria explained.
"Huh,so that's what she was... still why did'nt you tell me about this before?" Solona asked.
"Because usually they don't appear unless you train at Mage's Peak so it was strange that yours appeared at all,you said her name was Aries?Then she must have responded to you and materialized herself." Neria replied.
"Okay I guess that makes sense how are the villagers? Were any of them hurt?"Solona asked.
"No they are okay, but now we have to clean up this mess." Elissa replied as she surveyed the area.
"Still….. the fact you are able to kill that monster in one strike makes me want to explore the world to see if there's other people like you and Neria." Elissa said with a smile.
"But what about protecting the village?" Neria asked.
"Well the fact that a monster was killed should deter any bandits from attacking this place again,besides the villagers can take care of themselves." Elissa replied.
(Yawns) "Can we talk about this in the morning?I'm tired and want to go to bed." Solona said as she returns to the house.
"Hahaha! Sure thing Solona ,it's been a long day and we need some sleep." Elissa replied as the trio returned to Elissa's house and went to sleep.
The next morning as Neria and Solona pack up their things and prepare to continue the journey to Mage's Peak,Elissa bids them farewell as she also goes travelling on the road and hopes they meet again.
After a week of walking Neria and Solona finally reach Mage's Peak.
"This is Mage's Peak... well it certainly lives up to the name. This place is swirling with magical energy." Neria said as she and Solona take a break.
So, I guess we are going to have to climb to the top." Solona said as she drinks some water from her container.
"Then we should get to climbing before the sun goes down." Neria replied as the two continue travelling up the peak.
After hours of climbing Neria and Solona reach a town where they see people their own age training.
"Hello, are you here to train as well ?" one of the trainees asked.
"Yes." Solona replied.
Okay then I should take you two to see Master Leon,by the way my name is Travis and I'll be one of your fellow trainees.
“He’s sort of cute….what do you think,Neria?”Solona looks at Neria who shrugged before answering.
“Travis would be cute to me if he was a woman….I’m gay.”Neria’s response surprised Solona who smiled before saying “That’s alright,I’m not the sort person who would judgement you anyway.”
“Thanks, many people usually have a negative response when I tell them that.”Neria gave a smile as the two follow Travis
Travis then takes Solona and Neria to Master Leon who is quite happy to see new students.
"So you two young ladies are the new students I take it?My name is Leon Aquilus but the trainees here just call me Master Leon.So what are your names and what made you come all the way here? Leon asked.
"My name is Neria Salis and my friend's name is Solona Ishtar." Neria replied.
"Solona Ishtar?it's been a long time since a Ishtar came here to train, well I'm glad to knows your names so tell me what brought you here?" Leon asked.
"Well I want to train to better control my powers and make beautiful plants." Neria replied.
"And I want to train to become stronger so I can kill the ones who murdered my family." Solona said.
"I see... news about what happened to the Ishtars has reached even here, but the people who killed your parents are a foul bunch led by one of my rogue students." Leon said as he gave a tour of the building.
"Who is the person that leads them?"Neria asked.
"A troublesome girl by the name of Alice she was always a trouble maker but to think she would kill innocent people.." Leon said as he lead Solona and Neria to their quarters.
"Just how strong is she?" Solona asked with a fire in her eyes.
"Alice is very strong…. she controls the power of fire and lightning making her very deadly in combat." Leon replied.
"Then teach me everything you know,I want to be strong enough to face her." Solona said as she gained a new sense of purpose.
"Hahaha,you certainly are your grandmother's grand daughter,she had the same sense of learning as you do." Leon said with a laugh.
"Very well, I will train you two so be ready, because in three years you two will be more powerful than you are now." Leon said.
"Yes Master Leon!!" Solona and Neria said as they start training.
As Solona and Neria trained at Mage's Peak,they both became stronger.
Three years pass as Solona and Neria now both young adults finished their training.
"Wow I can't believe it's been three years since we arrived here." Neria said with a smile as she created several plants.
"Yeah it has felt like it was just yesterday since we've been here." Solona said.
"My,my ………..you have certainly grown Mistress Solona, it's good to see you again." Aries said as she appeared from Solona's body.
"Aries, you've come back!" Solona said as she cheerfully hugged Aries.
"Hahahaha have you forgotten?I never left your side in the past three years." Aries said with a smile.
"So this your guardian spirit Solona?" Neria asked.
"Hmm you must be Neria...and I see you have that annoying **** of a guardian spirit with you."
"Nice to see you too Aries".. a voice said as Neria's guardian spirit revealed herself.
"Come on now Aries…. surely you can't be bitter over that incident from a century ago." the spirit introduced herself as Iris while Aries does a eyeroll.
"Silence! I'm very much over that. I just don't like you at all, so go back inside Neria's soul." Aries said with a cold glare.
"No, I'll think I will stay here just to annoy you." Iris grinned as Aries gets mad.
"Calm down Aries, I think Iris is just teasing you." Solona said as she tried to calm Aries.
Hah! You don't know what Iris' form of teasing is." Arie said.
"You know for a ice spirit Aries is kind of hot tempered..." Neria replied.
"Shut it girl! Just because you are Mistess Solona's friend does'nt mean I'll take kindly to any jokes" Aries snapped back.
"Aries, you should calm down after all you are going to have to test Solona." Leon said.
"Test? What kind of test?" Solona asked.
"The old geezer wants me to test you to see if you are powerful enough to control my power." Aries replied.
"So I have to fight you?" Solona asked as Aries placed her hand on Solona's sword as it begins to glow.
"Yes but it's only a test and I will show some restraint,after all I'm certain you have what it takes to make use of my full power because you hold it in your hands." Aries replied with a smile.
"Very well then I'm ready!" Solona said.
"Follow me, this place is hardly suitable for battle." Leon said as he led Solona and Aries to a special room.
"This room was designed to help both spirit and body become one." Leon replied as he left the room.
"Get ready Aries because I'm coming for you!" Solona said as she took a battle stance.
"Let's see how strong you've gotten Mitress Solona, come at me with everything you have learned these past three years!" Aries replied as she created a sword.
As the two clashed Solona took the upper hand as she overpowered Aries, however Aries created a ice shield to keep Solona at bay.Not letting that stop her Solona cut right through the shield forcing Aries to create some distance.
"Hmm.. engaging her in close combat is unwise I better use my ice powers.."
Aries said as she launched a barrage of ice projectiles at Solona.
"Heh nice try but I know my own powers inside and out." Solona said as she created a ice wall stopping the projectiles.
"Impressive indeed but can you stop this?" Aries smiled as she summoned a slew of weapons.
With a wave of her hand Aries launched a series of weapons at Solona who used her speed to dodge them.
"Solona then creates a ice spear and uses it to block the ice weapons."
"Hmph, so you managed to block my weapons... you are learning to control my power" Aries said as Solona charged at her with a ice wave.
"A ice wave huh...very well I'll match it with my own." Aries smiled as she also created a ice wave.
As the entire room is frozen solid Solona and Aries are evenly matched.
"That one left the room in a mess, but at least I'm starting to learn how to use my full power." Solona smirked as she and Aries clash once again but this time Solona pin Aries to the wall.
"I can't move...I guess you have won then Mistress Solona.You have full control of not only your power but mine as well." Arie said with a smile as the ice melted and the room returns to normal.
"I feel stronger even with the training I've done." Solona said as her body begins to glow in a blue light.
"Well done Solona! You have mastered your powers and just like with Neria have created a bond with your guardian spirit.Now Aries' power is yours." Leon said as he applauded Solona on he success..
"Thank you Master Leon, I've really learned alot from you." Solona smiled as they left the room.
Several days later Neria and Solona said their goodbyes as Solona leaves Mage's Peak to search for the woman called Alice. But before leaving Neria gives Solona a pendant as a sign of their friendship.Never forgetting their friends she made at Mage's Peak Solona departed with Aries as they begin their search.
