The rinnegan is not the same as the spiral.

Does it make sense at this point in the story to show the EMS and rinnegan but not show the supposed half way point doujutsu. If they did show this older brother doujutsu it would be very anticlimactic.

Ive already noticed.
Kishi needs to clarify whether thats actually his doujutsu design or whether he was meant to have the rennigan design because if he truely got the sage's eyes, he shouldve the rennigan and not a mutation of it

AND, many others have stated so long before this thread - When the actual Chapter came out showing the sons, people said that was the Uzumaki Clans Dojutsu. When Kushina showed the Uzumaki Clan symbol in ch 500 or whatever, others were giving it more thought.

And the elder brother got the unnamed spiral doujutsu. Not the rinnegan. He got his father's eyes does not mean he got the rinnegan.

No Connection, Uzumaki means Spiral , thats where they got their symbol from, whirlpools, ie land of whirlpools ........They were located near the sea, so since the name of the place was land of whirlpools, it most likely had alot of them

there isn't a connection, they most likely got there symbol from literal spiraling whirlpools, that occured in their waters

-A halfway jutsu, which doesn't make sense, as Madara just skipped over it.
-A different doujutsu
