first of all people, the 8 tails took on the third raikage WHILE weakned, as explained by deidara bijuus are weakened when they do not have a host, which is how deidara was able to make the 3 tails look like fodder. Now Gyuuki, while weakened THAT much took on someone as powerful as the third raikage. This is where deidara explains.
