Ef : A Tale Of Melodies

I watched Ef: A Tale Of Memories, and I was perfectly okay with the ending, it was a beautiful anime and I enjoyed it a lot.

Now, I am wondering is the Sequel, A Tale of Melodies a must watch ? Does it focus on the same characters but in the future ? Is it as good as A Tale of Memories ? Please no major spoilers.

It is definitely different But I enjoyed it a lot ^.^ Anyways thank you for the answer but I am looking for opinion of people who watched both shows.

Tale of memories came first right? cause that ending with the eyepatch girl pissed me right the **** off.
Melodies was more or less a back story and i couldn't really get into the violin guys self loathing.
