"Great job!" Nico Robin complimented as she clapped rapidly. "Let us continue. This next technique requires the usage of four hand seals. Perform the hand seals and send chakra to a targets' chakra system in order to disrupt it. The illusion begins with the user suddenly and spontaneously disappearing and simultaneously, an imaginary vine whip grows from the ground and beneath the target. The vines bind the targets' body and lifts them up in the air, and a pod appears from the ground near the lifted target in which the user will appear to strike - which should be much easier since the enemy is completely immobilized." Nico Robin performs several hand seals as she spoke. The illusion would take effect shortly after she says the following, "As usual, a defense, performance please. Afterwards, explain a combination you'd use with this technique."

Description: Similar to Illusion Technique: Tree Binding Death, the user will do the Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram hand seals and trigger an illusion where the user first disappears, while the target sees several bean vines growing from the ground around and beneath him. These vines bind the target body, lifting them into the air. Then a bean pod rises from the ground to reveal the user, ready to strike. In reality, the opponent is immobilized by the illusion, allowing the user to strike.

As Nico-Sensei finishes instructing, The Tsuchikage is sees him disappear. At the same time vines sprout from the ground and bind him whilie lifting him into the air. With the palm of his hands facing himself, he gathers raiton chakra in them and sends a weak surge of eletricity through himself in order to break the genjutsu.

Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.

My turn!. The Tsuchikage starts weaving the signs Dog → Hare → Snake → Ram and then sends his chkra into the visual center of Nico Sensei's brain. This causes him to perceive vine come out the ground and bind him while lifting him. I simultaneously disappeared before reappearing through a sprouted bean sprout. Still in the been sprout I explain combinations to Nico Sensei.

A freeform kunai strike to the neck is a simple and easy way of ending my target, but freeform can be defended by freeform. Coming out and doing a jutsu like Chidori makes it harder for the target to survive. Do I have to be the one coming out of the pod? If not, an exploding shadow clone could deliver an attack. If the attack fails, then the clone can just explode.

"I like your thoughts in combinations, but if the shadow clone to explode is the one to perform the illusion, then yes he can. Basically, the user is the one to appear from the bean. Also, don't forget a counter like that wouldn't work if your palms aren't facing yourself, since it immobilizes your movements. Nice job, let's continue." Nico Robin speaks, as she proceeds to explain the next technique. "This one requires you to insert your chakra into the opponent's chakra system and disrupting it in order to induce an illusion. The illusion will make it seem like the target is atop a flower bud; the area around them will turn pitch black making it appear as if they've been summoned into an alternate reality. It is as shown below in the illustration; and shortly after, the flower of the illusion explodes, making the target believe that they have sustained injuries from the illusion. The damage of this technique is a result of mental stress. Now counter it, perform it, and then give me creative usages." Nico robin casts the illusion shortly after she has explained.

( Magen: Hanarasui ) - Demonic Illusion: Flower Head Death

Description: The user will trap the target within an illusion where the opponent appears to be trapped in a large flower bud which then explodes. The opponent is made to believe that an explosion actually occurred and collapses, believing himself to be injured. The resulting stress on his mind causes damage.

But sensei...I don't know any other jutsu to break B ranked immobilizing jutsu. The only jutsu I know that discharges chakra throughtout the body is C ranked and won't work against some of the genjutsu...Woah a flower. The Tsuchikage notices the change in setting around himself. He is surrounded by darkness and is seemingly in an empty void. Assuming Sensei didnt perform a space time ninjutsu on him, the Tsuchikage slaps himself in the face to break the genjutsu.

Now I try. I start molding and concentrating my chakra into Sensei's brain so that he perceives himself to be in an empty void atop of a flower. While hes in the genjutsu, The Tsuchikage starts to explain possible combinations.

Now the first combination that came to mind was layering this with Bringer of Darkness. If I used BoD first then the target wouldnt see the flower. I don't know if the flower head death would still cause damage though. The user wouldnt see flower and might not percieve the explosion. Another fatal combination would be to layer the genjutsu with Illusion Technique: Servant. If put the user in the flower head genjutsu and disappear based on the image you provided then the target won't see me do a throwing movement. They just see a a clone of me coming at them. After doign the servant genjutsu, I get out of sight just incase they break the 1st genjutsu that way they won't be able to tell theyre still in a genjutsu and they still explode. And lastly, there is always simply attacking the target while they are distracted.

"Oh, your counter worked. I'm just sayin', that if you were actually in battle and your palms were facing elsewhere, say you're holding onto a sword with both hands, you would be unable to move the palm even the slightest bit. But in your case, your palm would be naturally facing you already, so there's no problem there. And nice combinations, I already see a lot of potential in you as a Genjutsu master." Nico Robin reassured as she proceeded to explain the next technique. "Eh, this one takes a few hand seals. Five, to be exact. With those hand seals you can induce an illusion in which you will appear to dissolve into a mist, and you are to stealthily approach towards your target and get within short-range. Once you have reached the area, within arms reach I suppose, they will feel as if they have been bounded by a tree and are unable to move; they would be immobilized. You will appear to emerge from the tree, where you can strike the opponent accordingly. Perform it and give me advantages and disadvantages please. No need to break out of it because it is so similar to the last. "

Description: The user makes five handseals, and appears to dissolve into a mist. Once they stealthily approach the target and get within short-range, the opponent feels completely immobilized, and believes they have been bound by a fast-growing tree and are unable to move. The user then appears as if they emerge from the tree to attack the target. In reality, the target is immobilized, allowing the user to strike or interrogate them.

Oh okay. I understand Sensei. Thanks. Now onto the jutsu at hand. The Tsuchikage weaves 5 handseals and sends his chakra in Nico-Sensei brain. The Tsuchikage induces a genjutsu that causes Nico-Sensei to feel immobilized and see a tree bind him and me disappear into a mist.I then merge my top half of the body out of the tree with a kunai and start explaining the genjutsu. I will start with disadvantages. Because this is an immobilizing genjutsu, it forces the target to use a full body chakra surge jutsu. One of the best jutsu in that category is Chidori Nagashi. This genjutsu puts the target in such close range of the target that the they can reverse the tide of the battle. They can break the genjutsu and paralyze the genjutsu user with one jutsu. An advantage would be that it immobilizes the target. Another would me that this jutsu kind of looks like the mist servant genjutsu. If the jutsus are layered or the mist servant has been used beforehand then, the user coming out of the tree might not be perceived as a threat.

"Perfect! It's great to see one able to look ahead of the battle, to predict what an enemy might do. Awesome, let's continue!" Nico Robin complimented as she continued with the next technique. "Being able to be performed quickly, this one is quite useful. By sending chakra in the enemy's chakra system, therefore disrupting its normal flow, you will cast an illusion in which snakes will appear beneath the opponent to constrict them, and with your 'command' crush the opponent. In reality, however, the opponent is immobolized and cannot move whatsoever, but they do take mental damage. Now, it is quite powerful because of how quickly performed it is. How would you use it in battle? Also, defend from it, and perform it to me afterwards." Nico Robin, after speaking, casts the illusion to the student and waits for his response.

Sasuke Uchiha then pops out of the bushes. Hello there. I am Sasuke Uchiha. You will train me now. I've been listening and know everything he knows about Genjutsu. Questions? No? Okay then.

While listening to Nico-Sensei's explanation, Sasuke notices snakes appear out the ground and wrap around around him. Sasuke, being the analytic type, notices that Nico-Sensei did nothing that indicated she performed a summoning jutsu and assumed that snakes Ryuchi Cave werent conveniently slithering around underground his current location. He deducts he is under a genjutsu and releases raiton chakra from his palms, which are facing him, to shock himself out of the genjutsu. Sasuke then starts to gather chakra within himself and send it into Nico-Sensei's brain in order to make him perceive two snake appear out of the ground and wrap around her.

As you mentioned this is a great genjutsu because of how quickly this genjutsu can be performed. Me being a signer of the snake contract can make great use of this technique. If I use it in combination with snake summons and ninjutsu, the target will have a hard time deciphering between what is real and what is not. In fact, if I have a summon out I can perform the shadow clone jutsu and henge no jutsu to transform it into a snake. I would need to do this outside of the target's perception of course. I then can have them borrow under ground and use genjutsu. This will make it very hard and give the target very little reason to think they are in a genjutsu. I could also layer this with the String Bean Binding Illusion to add a second string of immobilizing genjutsu and increase the chance of String Bean Binding Illusion delivering fatal damage. After telling Nico-Sensei how he would use the genjutsu, Sasuke releases the genjutsu and the snake dissolve away.

"Oh, the old man died... It was expected. Hello, Sasuke. You did good, let's continue to the last B-rank on the list." Nico Robin states with enthusiasm. "So, flower hill. Another technique that serves to paralyze. Send chakra to the opponent's chakra system to disrupt it and cast an illusion on them. You use the illusion to make it seem like purple flowers appear from the ground in front of them to somehow damage them, as well as paralyze them for a turn. Now, perform it, defend it, and how would you use it in battle?"

Getting straight to it, Sasuke starts to gather chakra and manipulate it into Nico-Sensei's brain. This causes Nico-Sensei to perceive purple flowers growing out the ground and become paralyzed.

The jutsu is pretty simple although not very descriptive. The flowers somehow damage them? Do I get to choose how they damage my target? Anyway I guess I would layer this with Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique. I would change the the terrain to a meadow of somewhat tall purple flowers. They would hide the purple flowers of the Flower Hill Jutsu. Once half the the double false surrounding jutsu is broken it would turn into shorter flowers which are the same height as the purple flowers made by the flower hill jutsu. While all that is going on there is little to no evidence Flower Hill Jutsu is being used until it is too late. Also I would use a raiton jutsu to shock myself out of the jutsu or a full body surge technique of A rank.

"It is poorly explained. I don't think you can choose how it damages the opponent, I'd think that it is from mental damage. And nice, nice. And, if you needed an explanation to why you deduced this, you could always look back to the techniques that use some flowers/petals, since it is basically the same concept. Let's continue with A-ranks."

"A lot more complex illusions will come. Perform a hand seal and disrupt the enemy's chakra system to induce an illusion onto the enemy. Toss a large number of explosive tags at the opponent and as it is traveling, the illusion would make it seem like butterflies flying. Simultaneously, the opponent is made to believe that they are sinking on the ground which immobolized their movements. This allows you, the user, to attack once the target has been immobolized by approaching them and placing a final explosive tag on their forhead. You can then detonate all the explosive tags at once." After the explanation, Sasuke sees himself in the illusion described by his teacher. Nico Robin commands, "Find your way out of the illusion, perform it, and give me creative usages!"

Description: The user makes one handseal, placing the opponent in a genjutsu. The user then tosses a large number of explosive tags at the opponent. To the opponent, it looks as if they are countless butterflies. The opponent then believes they are sinking into the ground, in reality making them immobilized; this allows the user to place one final exploding tag on their forehead before detonating all the tags simultaneously.

Im not sure as to how much of me is immobilized. Am I slowly immobilized from the feet up because I believe I am sinking into the ground or is my whole body immobilized from the get go? I will assume Im fully immobilized.

After being placed in the genjutsu, Sasuke sees butterflies flying towards him. He also saw his sensei perform a throwing motion with his arms. This is like the genjutsu we learned earlier. If the throwing motion isnt masked it looks out of place and suspicious. Sasuke also notices that he is sinking into the ground. Quickly thinking of a plan, Sasuke realizes that if he uses a jutsu to shock himself out of the genjutsu he may be hit by whatever the butterflies are. Instead he gathers up up fuuton chakra in his lungs and expels it it toward the butterflies in the form of a spinning wall of wind. The butterflies explode once they make contact with the wall because the sharp wind activated them. Sasuke then gathers raiton chakra in his palms facing himself and shocks himself out of the immobilizing genjutsu.

Description: User creates a wall of spinning wind in front of him that is used to push back weapons thrown towards him. It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.

Phew. That was a close one. Anyway. My turn. I perform one handseal before gathering chakra and directing it into Nico Sensei's brain. I then throw dud explosive tags at Nico Sensei. The genjutsu causes him to perceive them as butterflies. At the same time he perceives himself as sinking into the Earth. The explosive tags disguised as butterflies cover Sensei's body. I then walk up and place one final tag before ending the genjutsu.

Okay so I was thinking about this genjutsu for a bit. I could perform this jutsu and Swamp of the Underworld. It would make it harder for them to realizing the immobilization is also from a genjutsu. In fact they wont have a reason to believe that part is a genjutsu. I could also layer this on the false surroundings genjutsu to make them believe they are in swamp of the underworld. An explosive shadow clone could also apply the last tag before exploding. This would create an even bigger and more powerful explosion. If they manage to break the genjutsu before the final tags are places, the clone can be used to still ensure they are damaged.

"Well, immobolized, so It's your entire body, I assume." Nico Robin explained as she watched the students performance. "Marvelous analysis. Really, it was a great thought proccess. Awesome job! Let's move on though." Nico Robin unrolled a scroll that showed a technique and its directions for usage. It was written in clear calligraphy and the instructions were clear. "Basically, its a technique that can make multiple people fall asleep.. Simply analyze it for me and tell me how you would use it in battle." Nico Robin said before placing the opponent in an illusion causing white feathers to fall as he reads, making him fall asleep.

( Nehan Shōja no Jutsu ) - Temple of Nirvana Technique

After Nico-Sensei finishes his explanation of the jutsu, Sasuke starts to see feathers falling from the sky without any signs of birds above. He also notices a sudden shift in his state of mind. Before he was alert and focusing on Nico-Sensei's teachings. Now he was suddenly tired and feeling an intense urge to fall asleep. Sasuke knows he wasnt drugged and when touches the feathers they phase through his hand. Visual Genjutsu! Knowing that he concentrates raiton in his hand and shocks himself out the genjutsu.

Yaaaaaaawwwn. Excuse me Sensei. This jutsu works by puting ones chakra into their targets brain. This causes them to see feathers and fall to sleep. Now in this state of extreme drowziness before going to sleep, ones reaction time would logically suffer. When going to sleep, the whole human body slows down. This can be used to ones advantage. If the target is on a somewhat large body of water they can drown. If they are on Swamp of the Underworld, one could use a fuuton can blow them frontward or backwards into the sticky swamp and immobilize them. Of course one can also go straight for the kill on a sleepy target.

"Nice. Moving onto the last technique." Nico Robin sighed, knowing that she'd have to let go of one of her best students soon enough. "Bringer of darkness works by creating a world of darkness through a single hand seal. The opponent's mind is made to see the world around them turn completely black which would restrict their sense of sight completely." Nico Robin performs a single hand seal and casts the illusion onto the student. "Now dispel it. Give me advantages and combinations with it. Now, let's dispel it in a new way. Disrupt your chakra stream with a single hand seal to perform a technique known as "Kai". After you have finished explaining the illusion itself, analyze the Kai technique for me."

( Kokuangyo no Jutsu ) - Bringer-of-Darkness Technique

Description: The user does one hand seal to focus and then proceeds to disturb his chakra flow by forcefully stopping it momentarily and then "spiking" his spiritual energy, unbalancing his chakra. This dispels any genjutsu set upon the user except MS Eye Techniques, Paralysis-like Genjutsu and Demonic Illusion: Toad Confrontation Chant. The effectiveness of this technique is dependent upon the skill of the user. A Jounin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to C-rank. An S-class ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to B-rank. A Sannin rank ninja can dispel Genjutsu up to A-rank. A Sage rank user can dispel Genjutsu up to S-Rank. The user may use this technique through physical contact on others to dispel them from Genjutsu. The technique can only be used once per turn and the user still needs to fully follow the logic as to why he figured out it was an illusion.

After Nico-Sensei finishes explaining everything around Sasuke turns to darkness. There is 0 evidence of light. Sasuke couldnt even see his hand in his face. In order to confirm his hand was in his face, he blew air forward. Hmm so my sense of touch still exists. He then starts walking. He can feel the air brush against his face,hear the grass crunching beneath his feet, and smell the plant life all around him. Sasuke perceiving all of that deducted that he was under a visual genjutsu. He then gather raiton chakra in his right hand and delivered a shock to himself to break the genjutsu.

Humans gather most of their information from their sense of sight. This genjutsu takes away that sight. Its a major advantage to the user. Now sensory ninjas can still sense and perceive the user while under the genjutsu. The Inuzuka and and this nindogs also can still smell the user. In general the the genjutsu can be used in combination with just about anything because you're essentially fighting a blind target. More likely than not they do not possess the abilities to perceive the user. In specific this jutsu works great with hiding tactics. For example the hiding like a mold technique allows the user to hide underground and still perceive everything above. Before hand a shadow or elemental clone can be created. The clone will fighting place of the user and allow the user to watch for any patterns, weaknesses, etc in the targets fighting. Basically kind of like what Kakashi did when fighting the Itachi clone and Deva Path. Except for him not using the genjutsu.

Now the Kai technique is a jutsu used for breaking genjutsu. One stops their disrupted chakra flow then spikes it. The amount chakra required depends on the power of the strongest genjutsu being used on the user and/or target. The ninjas skill with the technique also correlates with their rank. The weakness of this jutsu is that it does not work on immobilizing jutsu.
