"Oh, nono, I just meant i was behind the rock while you perform it to me. I wanted to show you that by using the environment, you can have the clones pop out of the rock, etc. It is a way to teach you that that application of the technique is generally not as useful, because it's illogical to think that a clone could appear from a rock. Nicely done. Now, explain to me what psychological effects would occur if one were to see an image of what they fear the most."

Ok cool. Seeing an image of what you fear more could of course bring on a very strong urge of fear. Such a strong emotion could lead to irrational logic, mental trauma, confusion, or the loss of the ability to think clearly.

"Good answer. Now, for the sake of the RP - you aren't able to specifically state how exactly the enemy reacts from the illusion of seeing their worst fears. As shown in the anime, whether or not these affects apply depends on the skills and experience of the target. For example, Sakure fainted at the sight of Sasuke wounded as a result of Kakashi's illusion, but after timeskip, after she's gained a fair amount of experience, the same illusion did not alarm her. The extent of trauma you can create through this technique is limited to only fainting." Nico Robin explained. She creates a clone, and has the clone perform the illusion on the student. Only seconds after, you see your favorite dog, wounded and lying helplessly on the ground. "Break the illusion and once you're done, perform it on me, and tell me what you think about this technique; do you like it, or not and why? Do you see yourself using it, and if so, in what scenario?"

( Magen: Narakumi ) - Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing
Rank: D
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 10
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user performs two handseals causing it to appear as if a swirl of leaves surrounds the opponent. The swirl eventually falls away, and after a few seconds, the opponent sees the image of whatever they fear the most, shocking them and potentially causing them to faint.

Oh no my dog is hurt. The Tsuchikage goes to pick up his dog but his arms phase through it. Visual genjutsu it is. Also I can't smell the blood of my wounded dog... The Tsuchikage chips his ring finger. The Tsuchikage performs 2 handseals and directs his chakra into the visual part of sensei's brain. Sensei should be seeing his most loved one heavily wounded. Besides failing to touch the object created by the genjutsu, one would need to realize how odd it would be for their worse fear to appear in battle. I don't really like this jutsu because of that reason. Its far to easy to see through and I don't see any use for it in battle. Outside of ninja you might be able to trick a ninja that his comrade is dead or something but its still easy to see through. I don't see myself using this genjutsu. If I did use it in battle, I would try to use the genjutsu to make my opponent hesitate. That 1 second could mean death.

( Kori Shinchū no Jutsu ) - Sly Mind Affect Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion on the opponent that makes them believe they are travelling in a straight line, when instead they are moving in circles. This is only effective on moving opponents. If the opponent travels in the circle for hours, they will be exhausted.
"All valid points, nicely done. It's really hard to believe that a loved one suddenly appears in the battlefield, or the worst nightmare. Now the next technique... run towards me!" Nico Robin extends the gap between student and teacher. Now standing 15 meters from the student, she casts an illusion in which the student, once she approaches, will run in circles rather than a straight line, while in the illusion, she will think that she's been running on a straight path the whole time.

The Tsuchikage starts running towards Nico-Sensei as directed. As hes running he notices the time its taking him to close the distance is longer than anticipated. Aww I see. Another genjutsu... The Tsuchikage chips his finger to break the genjutsu. As the jutsu dissipates, the Tsuchikage notices that Nico-Sensei isnt in front of him. He looks around and finds Nico-Sensei to be behind him. There you are sensei.

"Ah great, now tell me, how did you notice that you were under an illusion?
Also, if your enemy was under the illusion, how would you attack afterwards, considering they are distracted. And what other usages can you find for this technique?"

Well this genjutsu changes the time it takes to reach a target while running and the direction one is running. Generally speaking a ninja should be in tune with the capabilities of the their body and know the speed at which they can run. Speed = Distance/Time. Because the target has to already be running for the genjutsu to work, they should have already determined the distance their traveling and at least a rough estimate on how long it will take them to cover said distance. The genjutsu affects the target's perception of distance but not time. Therefore if the target notices the time to reach the target is different from the estimate, they can conclude they are under a genjutsu...or the enemy used some doton treadmill jutsu. Genjutsu is more likely though. The method of determining the factor of time is what I used to aide in seeing through the genjutsu.

The genjutsu also changes the target's direction in the real world. While running in a straight linear fashion, the air brushing against the target's face should be evenly distributed against the front of the face. However while running and turning, the air is generally focused on the outer half of the face. This sensation of turning doesnt match up with the direction the target thinks he/she are running. This can tip off the genjutsu as well if they are observant enough.

If my enemy was in this genjutsu, I would go in for the kill as quickly as possible. Something along the lines of a chidori to the heart or head. The less time the target has to decipher the genjutsu and break it, the better.

Other uses would be forcing the target to literally walk into an attack, keep a taijutsu user away from you, or force them to move in basically any direction you want. The jutsu description doesnt say the target has to run in an "O" shape so theoretically they could also run in an "8" shape.

"Wow, beautiful reply! I would have never thought about the air and how it would feel once you turned. And also, the follow up is one that i would recommend as well. Like, if a swamp was placed there earlier, i would have them walk to it which would eventually lead to their death, but of course, it is also a way to make the illusion more obvious than it is... Let's continue, though."

"This next technique is not one that is used in battle oftenly, if at all. Through physical contact, you are to cast an illusion that convinces the enemy to give away information; this information, of course, is usually village oriented and is generally used on RP only. To gather information from an enemy, they have to be two ranks or lower. Analyze this for me, and any questions on this one? "
( Genjutsu: Jinmon ) - Illusion Technique: Interrogation
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost:15
Damage Points:30
Description: The user of this technique, upon casting on a stationary opponent with physical contact with them, is able to convince the enemy to give away information. However, this will only work on ninja two ranks lower and below than the caster.

Too add on you the wind on the face thing. It should become even more apparent if the target is sweating because then half of there face would be cold.

This just seems like a very weak version of the Mangekyou Sharingan jutsu Koto. They both allow the user to implant a command. Judging by the word "convince" the target also willingly follows through with the command. The interrogation jutsu uses the users body as a medium. Since the user has to touch the target, I would say its safe to assume the the user's chakra is going through the users limb, or whatever body part they are using to make contact, into the targets brain. Then the user manipulates the targets brain from there.

Ways you counter this jutsu, besides not being caught and becoming stationary, are having a doujutsu so they can see through the genjutsu or see their chakra is disrupted or by having that fuuinjutsu placed on your tongue that prevents information about the village from being leaked via the mouth.

No questions

"Most of those seals that protect any information from being leaked kills the user... ah, nice analysis. Let's move on." Nico Robin says, while walking the student out of the cave. As he exits, an enormous fireball descends from the ground coming from the sky, which would serve as a distraction. "So, how would you break out of this technique? It is basically casting an illusion in which the target is made to believe that a large fireball is falling from the sky; how would you use it in battle? Please perform it and counter it, make sure to describe how you figured out it was anillusion!"

( Genjutsu: Jigoku Gouka ) - Illusion Technique: Hell Fire
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points:N/A
Description: The user casts an illusion where the opponent sees a huge ball of fire descending from the sky and enveloping its target.

The Tsuchikage walks alongside Nico-Sensei coming out the cave. Whoa. I thought this was Genjutsu training, not Katon... As the giant fireball comes down the Tsuchikage notices that Nico-Sensei doesnt move, the lack of heat coming from the giant fireball, and the lack of evidence of Nico-Sensei even doing a jutsu. Oh. We are still doing Genjutsu training. The Tsuchikage gathers a small amount of raiton chakra in his right hand and uses it to shock himself out of the genjutsu.

(Raiton: Jibashi) - Lightning Release: Electromagnetic Murder
Rank: C
Type: Offense
Range: Short (Short-Long depending on the water technique)
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: 30 (+10 to a water technique when used in conjunction)
Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.

Now on to how I would use the genjutsu. In my opinion this is a really obvious genjutsu if it setup correctly. If a giant fireball coming from the sky is to be believable, then the user should be at mid range when casting the jutsu and then get even farther away from the target. If the target thinks the user perceives the fireball as a threat, then they might also think it is a threat. Before even doing the jutsu, I would also do some handseals and say something like, "Fire Style: Heavenly Wrath Jutsu!" The handseals serve no purpose except for making the opponent think the jutsu is authentic. They think I'm molding my chakra to do an actual Katon when in fact I'm doing it to do a genjutsu which doesnt even require handseals. The target will then focus on somehow defending themselves from the fireball and leave themselves open for an attack. If I have a fast enough jutsu, I possibly might be able to attack and close the distance while theyre defending. That might seem like a lot of work, but the opponent might find it unbelievable that I can spontaneously create giant fireballs in the sky and call them down or notice that I myself don't actually fear the giant fireball.

Now your turn to see the giant fireball in the sky Sensei! The Tsuchikage starts to mold and manipulate it into Nico Sensei's brain. From there, The Tsuchikage takes control of the vision center of Sensei's brain and causes him to see a giant fireball coming down from the sky. Beautiful ain't it?

Also I said I wouldnt feel any heat because based on the NB jutsu description its completely visual based and has doesnt mention anything concerning the sense of touch. However its been awhile since I've seen the filler arc in which this jutsu was used but the Narutowiki says the jutsu also affects the targets sense of touch, specifically the ability to sense heat, and that the users feel the heat of the fireball. So, does the target actually feel the heat of the fireball or no?

"Yes, it does expel heat, so long as you describe it to incorporate heat... And seeing as the bulk of your argument was the lack of heat, I'd like you to explain how you would figure out that the illusion is being used on you. It's a lot more harder now that there's heat involved, since it makes it more believable!"

Hmm. Well then I would have to observe the way my opponent reacts to the genjutsu. If he too is in range of the attack then that lets me know the jutsu itself is of no threat if the user ignores it. Of course theres always shooting a suiton at it and see the lack of steam. If I did that though, it would have to be a suiton that's capable of hitting multiple things in different directions so my opponent doesnt seize the opportunity of my attention being divided. The fireball is an illusion so that also means the heat is an illusion. Therefore my body shouldnt produce sweat even though its in an great amount of heat. Lastly if I cover my finger in saliva, I should easily be able to feel the movement of air. Heated air rises. If the air around doesn't rise then it isnt being heated by the giant fireball

"Great, great! You can also notice it by the lack of hand seals, lack of shooting anything in the air, and lack of precreation signs. Furthermore the area above isn't affected, like clouds and whatnot. Anyways, you have the basic gist of it, let's continue."

"This next one handles with clones..." As she spoke, a clone is created right by her side. It charges towards the student, who would be mid-range from Nico Robin. "Yes this is an illusion..." She reassured as the clone exploded into a cloud of cherry blossom after jumping towards the student. "Now, explain how you can escape from the illusion... Keep in mind, this is distracting. Every second you stay within the petals is a second the enemy can use to attack. Dispel the illusion and explain how, specifically, and please perform it to myself, and give me combinations in which you'd use this technique with!"
( Genjutsu: Kasumi no Jutsu ) - Illusion Technique: Mist Technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user creates an illusionary clone that charges towards the enemy, jumps, then explodes in a cloud of cherry blossom petals which results in confusing the opponent and obscuring their vision, leaving them open for attack.

Well first and foremost no handsigns or gestures were used to create the clone. This doesnt prove the clone is an illusion but it does look odd. The clone also explodes. This is a visual genjutsu, so I won't feel the force of the explosion. An explosion without some kind of shockwave doesnt make sense. The flowers also wouldnt be tangible. If one were to immediately notice the lack of shockwave, they can quickly break the genjutsu before an attack reaches them. The Tsuchikage bites a chunk of his cheek to break the genjutsu.

My turn! The Tsuchikage gathers and molds chakra. He then directs it into the visual center of Nico-Sensei's brain so that he sees a clone created on the side of me run towards him and explode into a bunch of cherry blossom petals. This genjutsu would go great with the Hana Ninpo(Flower Ninja Art) jutsu I learned awhile back from Bloo-Senpai. While the the target is distracted, I can create a floor of flowers under them and it the medium for traveling fire. The flowers could be mistaken to be apart of the genjutsu and the fire is coming from outside his field of vision. Then I can create falling flowers that explode on contact. All of these flowers would look the same and have their destructive intention covered by the genjutsu!

"Great! I loved the combination, it works particularly well with Wood release especially. Anyways, let's move on. This next one is pretty complex. Through three hand seals, you can place the enemy under a double layeed illusion. It allows you to manipulate the targets sense of sight to make it seem like their surroundings have transformed into another, and even then, if they were to release from the first, a second is to appear. Normal releases can only release it once at a time, while pain or external source, such as another ally flooding their chakra to yours as a source of Kai, would release both simultaneously. Now, please describe a way in which you'd use this and questions, if you have them."

(Magen: Nijū Kokoni Arazu no Jutsu) Demonic Illusion: Double False Surroundings Technique
Type: Supplmentary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will do a sequence of 3 handseals, putting his opponents under a double layered Genjutsu. The user is able to create false surroundings to fool his targets, much like the simpler version of the technique. However, the illusion is in fact layered. If the opponent manages to release the first one, he will then feel the effects of the second illusion. If, for example, the first illusion is that of a desert and the second that of a forest, upon releasing the first one, the opponent will see the desert fade away while the forest appears around him, making him think he dispelled the illusion while in essence he is still caught in one. Each illusion is equivalent to C-Rank and both are casted at the same time. While normal releases will release only one illusion at a time, a strong enough pain or an external source of chakra can dispel both at the same time.

The Tsuchikage scratches his head as he enters deep thought. 30 minutes later, he came up with a response. Well. Im going to be frank with you Sensei. I couldnt find many uses with this jutsu. The best one I could come up with would be to use the genjutsu before either using water dragon jutsu or Earth and Stone Dragon Technique. As you explained earlier, since both of these jutsu come from the terrain they too would change. This genjutsu would force the target to spend twice the amount of time trying to figure out the element used to create the dragons. I guess it would also be great to hide my location with something like a smoke bomb or something. That way they wont see me change the element of my attack via an illusion.

A less offensive usage of the jutsu would be to move sources of water, from the targets perspective anyway. If they want to jump on the water in order to do a jutsu, they might fail because they jumped on earth. Likewise I they can also jump on what they think is earthbut is really water. They won't have chakra concentrated in their feet and they will fall into ground(water). This would leave them open and vulnerable to an attack. That brings up the question as to what do they see when they fall through water disguised as Earth. Do they see water or do they see the equivalent of being buried alive?

"Interesting combination, and to answer your question, I believe they only see water, even though it is disguised as earth because this technique simply changes the appearance of a setting, not the properties of it. Let's move on." Nico Robin grabs a sword and points it towards the student. Swinging it back and forth, she traps you in an illusion where you believe that multiple waving arms appear in my surroundings that blows towards you, resembling a willow tree blowing in the weed. They, of course, carry their own sword that serves as a distraction. "Well, this technique is basically a technique that allows you to create distractions, which are the multiple hands waving; once you're distracted, I am able to strike you down with the original sword... So now, break out from the illusion before I come there to strike you! Also, I'd like an explanation as to how you came to the conclusion that you were trapped in an illusion, and combinations as well."

( Konoha-Ryū: Yanagi ) - Leaf Ninja Art: Willow
Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage points: 35
Description: The user waves their sword back and forth, which when seen by the target locks them in a genjutsu which causes them to hallucinate multiple waving arms. The movement resembles that of a willow tree blowing in the wind. With the enemy off guard, the user is free to cut them down.

As Nico Sensei performs the genjutsu on the Tsuchikage, he starts to he multiple waving arms that seem to be blowing in the wind. The Tsuchikage notices that the arms fade off around the elbow region. Hmm. The human arm is far to dense and heavenly to flow so weightlessly though the air like this. Visual Genjutsu confirmed. Quickly the Tsuchikage slaps himself and jumps backwards from nico sensei.

Some obvious combinations with this jutsu is to perform kenjutsu afterwards. The genjutsu would distract the user and make it harder to see which arm is the users. Using multiple clones would increase the effectiveness. Since the user is distracted, I could layer this on other genjutsus. While they're distracted, I could perform Illusion Technique: Servant and throw a paper bomb disguised as a clone. Or I could perform the mist servant jutsu and create more illusionary clones as a distraction so I can attack with another jutsu.
