Edos don't count! Or do they?!

Are Edo summons fair when accounting for a shinobi's power level?

Do edo summons count? When the strength and power of shinobi is considered? should edo summons be counted?

No?: Because they are separate shinobi with minds and jutsus of their own; The power still lies with the edo, and they are just being manipulated. This might be said about ALL summons, however.

Yes, they are fair game?: They are just like any other summons such as toads or slugs. They are a direct result of the jutsu user and are fair.

Personally, I am on the fence on this matter. What do you think?

Fair game. Orochimaru and Kabuto worked their butt off to perfect this jutsu. While others like Nagato, Naruto, Madara, their overpowered-ness are given to them for free.

It's a summon which requires sacrifices and the DNA of the summoned shinobi. I say it's fair.

Eh, I don't like it. It's like they worked hard to get someone else to work hard for them while they could just twiddle their thumbs. But to each their own I guess

All edos that break free of edo tensei are their own power and can even be considered the prime of that person. I mean people who break free like madara who rewrite the summoning contract, because they cant simply be "unsummoned". All the other edos would disappear if the user dies so they should really be considered a part of the summoner's power (until they break free as ive said).

Edo tensei is a summon, summons are a part of a shinobi's power. Therefore edo tensei should count towards the users own power

When Naruto uses his frogs, they can use jutsus. Its just that the jutsu is more common among shinobi. Gamabunta can use his kinjutsu, and people think its fair. Why can't edos? The technique is at the users disposal so why can't he use it. Why is it not fair? People just don't like the fact someone as weak as Kabuto has that much power. They are also mad that he stole all that power to become strong. Who cares? He has it. He can use it.
