i dont get how 1st hokage couldnt break out of edo tensei the first time against the third when he broke out now and edo tensei is even stronger now!?

Cause orochimaru didn't have them at full power and had alot of restrictions on them. He hadn't perfected the jutsu like Kabuto till now.

Hashirama is able to do it now cause he's not restricted by a talisman. Also he isn't really restricted since the main ingredient was his own DNA.

Currently he was able to revive them with their own true power, so the power scale of the hokage's was higher this time around.
