Hello guys I would like to talk about Edo Tensei... it's origin as technique, purpouse, general concept and principles and original purpouse changed into new purpouse and also simmiliarties with Rinne Tensei technique.Let's begin:
The creator of Edo Tensei is Tobirama himself:
^^ Itama, Brother of Hashirama and Tobirama got killed.
^^ Izuna, only one left brother of Madara got killed
^^ Tobirama seemed to plan something in secret.
^^It calls soul of a departed human back from the afterlife "Pure world" to this plane "Impure World". It requires specific amount of the physical body of the person user wishes to revive.
^^specific amount of the physical body is known as DNA. Also Edo Tensei has some restrictions as it can not bring people who not reside in Pure World... also they can not be sealed or being somewhere else.
^^ Living human becomes vessel for soul of the dead one... in other words Living Human sacrifice his life force for revived soul to get moving corpse...
Now about Rinne Tensei:
^^ Souls of dead people are brought back to their original bodies/physical corpses. It even resotore your amount of chakra to full and also heal your wounds and regenerate physical body.
^^But the cost is great... User sacrifice specific amount of his life force combined with specific amount of chakra to use that technique. It is probably dependant of amount of people you try to ressurect and also amount of time passince since death of one or more people.
Minato even further prove me right in the lastest chapter:
^^ It must be technique which does something in exchange for one's life...
^^ While originally Edo Tensei was intended to revive dead peoples... sadly it turned into great technique to be used for war purpouse to:
- wipe the map clean, along with it's caster

- to replace weak living shinobi with army of strong dead shinobi brought back to life to win the war or battle:
What are reasons behind Edo Tensei and Rinne Tensei being labeled as Kinjutsu ?
- Edo Tensei requires living human body's sacrifice
- Rinne Tensei requires life force
^^ Rinne Tensei technique can affect and use moving dead corpse created by Edo Tensei technique from ashes covering living sacrifice body.
^^ Even before Edo Tensei get canceled Madara already was able to bound his soul to his Edo Tensei body being unaffected by Edo Tensei technique being released, maybe due to Rinnegan's power.
^^ After breaking contract of Edo Tensei with caster(in this case Kabuto), while preserving edo tensei's technique abilities itself.
^^ Madara's Edo Tensei body is shown without cracks on his face, could it be possible that for brief moment Edo Tensei's body can turns into real living body... but then turns back into Edo Tensei body...as Madara who arrived to Obito.
Last interesting fact is that both techniques contain word: "Tensei" in their name... which mean godly. Considence ?

Advantages of Edo tensei :
- Bring dead person back to life again
- infinitely recharging amount of chakra and constant regeneration
- Indestructible body and can not be damaged pernamently
- Not affected by Agging process
- Only can be stopped by sealing
Disadvantages of Edo tensei :
- not being revived at full power
- not being able to pass your limits
- not being able to sense or expierience
- can not become Jinchurki

Summary :
- Edo Tensei technique is Tobirama fail attmept to copy/recreate Rinne Tensei technique and make is usable without need of Rinnegan
- Edo Tensei technique will never bring dead people back at full power but close to it. The reason is because full power requires living body which only Rinne tensei can affect.
- Edo Tensei and Rinne Tensei techniques were both labeled as Kinjutsu due to requiring not just chakra but life force as well.
- Edo Tensei requires life force of living human to be sacrificed while Rinne Tensei needs life force of user to be sacrificed
- Originaly Edo Tensei was created to revive dead people(Tobirama's brother: Itama and Madara's brother: Izuna) but after requiring living human sacrifice Tobirama labeled this technique as Kinjutsu and hide it deep into one of scroll... soon it changed it's purpouse to being used in war or battle to destroy battlefield along with caster or creates army of dead strong peoples to be used instead of weak living people who can not bring anything to the war.
- Only Rinne tensei can bring dead person back to it's full power.
- Rinne Tensei can affect Edo Tensei technique overwriting Edo Tensei's features to bring moving corpse back to life by turning moving corpse into real body once again
