Edo Tensei Question

I have one simple question that has been bugging me for a while, which i know probably can't be answered. But i'm going to ask it anyway.

Example 1. Nagato- After being revived by the Edo Tensei, Nagato was shown fighting Naruto and Bee (and later Itachi) he was shown summoning both the king of hell statue and various animal summons.

Example 2. Torune- Torune is a Konoha ninja from the Aburame clan who uses nano sized insects stored within his body.

Torune was also revived by the Edo Tensei as a demonstration for Tobi.

My question is, how does Nagato use his animal summons, and how would Torune use his insects (assuming he was actually used in a battle)? Do the summons and insects need to be dead in order to be used by the Edo Tensei body, or can the ninja use all techniques they had in life just as well in death? In other words, can Nagato summon living animals, and does Torune have living insects in his Edo body? Or are the animal summons and insects used dead as well?

edo brings back a person with all their techs so yeah as long as that animal isnt dead they should be able to summon it.torune and the others in his clan make a contract with the bugs, a host body and energy for the bugs so yeah i guess the bugs died and came back with him :shrug:

Yeah, you have a point but animals summoned are like tools in combat so unless they die in combat, they can be summoned even by the dead brought back to life.

If kabuto used a shadow clone or the body splitting technique, killed himself, and made his clone re summon him as an Edo Tensei, he would be truly invincible.

I also have a question of my own about edo tensei, if edo tensei is as easy as DNA of the dead and a human soul, could i get two edo tensei of the same ninja if i summoned both of them at the same time using the same techinques and could kabuto re summon nagato now that itachi sealed him off if he used another soul?

1. He can't summon the Third as all previous Hokage are in the Shikigami.
2. No. Each summon can only be made once. The soul is bound into one body and the binding can only be done one at a time as far as we've seen.
3. No. Nagato's soul was sealed away so his soul can't be anchored onto a sacrifice's body again because it does not reside in the Pure world. It's the sacrifices body used, and the soul of the person you want to summon. Not the soul of the sacrifice.

Yeah, that's what i thought too but remember during Oro's fight with saru, he tried to summon minato and though saru stopped the summon, Oro had tried yet minato had been sealed by shikigami a few years ago, thats why am confused about the edo tensei.

I just explained this to someone else. Lol. In the anime the third coffin was shown forming, while in the Manga the third coffin does not appear. This was an anime mistake and orochimaru could never summon the third coffin and Hiruzen didn't stop it.

Technically she only gave her life force, not her soul. And the other died a normal death, meaning their souls resided in the Pure world and could still be anchored to sacrifices until sealed away.

So what are you saying, that life force is different from the soul? l thought life force meant the energy powering our bodies, How can that not be the soul?
N if it is the soul like i said and she died with out one, then that means edo tensei involves DNA of the dead to make a dead body and a human soul provided to move the summon body thus it makes my theory right, even soul less ninjas like those sealed by the skikigami can be summoned provided you have their DNA.
