edo tensei Hashirama and Tobirama

We've seen in the 4th great shinobi war that some edo shinobi do talk with the people they're fighting with, and warning and stuff like that, but when Hiruzen fought edo Hashirama and edo Tobirama, they didn't say anything, they didn't warn him, like saying they would do something like "....", why is it?


Or is it something the same thing with edo nagato and naruto?

thats what the kunai tags are for, to bind the edo to the jutsu user's will, before the tags are implanted into the back of their heads and activated the edo has complete free will.

Were they? I thought he just made them set them up to just attack Hiruzen but never manually controlled them like Kabuto did to Nagato.

He put kunai tags in their mind so they're killing machines. He is smart for doing that because, if they had control over their bodies, they would escape Edo Tensei just like Madara. Tobirama created it I'm pretty sure he knows how to get out of it and maybe taught it to Hashirama.

Two things made them weaker than their normal. One is that they were being controlled so they couldn't react well and couldn't display unheard of techs.

Second is the four corner sealing barrier. Because of this technique the space in which to fight was minuscule, and thus disallowed the use of monsterous techs like the ones Madara displayed
