Edo tensei clothing

We know that some characters, like Madara, died not wearing their usual clothing but when they were edo tensei'd they suddenly had it again.

So why didn't the Akatsuki cone back in their original robes? Instead they came back barefoot in those boring red robes.

Huh, you do know Madara has a jutsu for his clothes right? Every other character (except Naruto ofc) wears their clothes.

OT: it's an irrelevant aspect of plot so Kishi did not pay attention to it, and there's Kabuto altering the Edo

Well edo Tensei uses the bodies of other dead people. I'd assume that since bodies need to be acquired for edo Tensei perhaps the user dresses them up how they see fit first, then puts them back in those coffins. I really have no clue to be honest.

Nearly all previous Akatsuki members lost their cloaks prior to their deaths, that's why they were not wearing them. Besides, it's like Kishi /Kabuto wanted to make a new uniform only for them by giving them 'boring' red cloaks. U_U
Apart that, other characters were resurrected in the outfits they used to wear while alive, like the previous kages, the 7 swordsmen, Haku & Zabuza…etc.
