Edo Tensei and The God Tree.

What has me confuzzled is how the tree's Chakra absorbtion works against Edo Tensei. We clearly saw that the tree took chakra from both Minato and Madara; this shouldn't affect them for too long considering Edo Tensei gives it's zombies "Infinite chakra".

But the thing is, if this thing is the progenitor of all chakra, then how come Edo Tensei pulls Chakra from a limitless source? If this thing "Wants it's chakra back" then how can it get it all back from a limitless source? Or from nature, for that matter.

This would all emphasise just how broken a Jutsu Edo Tensei is.

Well with the Omnyoudon it was noted that it was literally killing the Edo Tensei bodies.

Also, with the birth of beings with Chakra networks... the original pool of chakra has been infinitely increased. Edo Tensei could be drawing chakra from the surrounding nature (considering that it comes from a seemingly natural resource (and apparently this could also mean it comes from the earth).

The infinite chakra supply also seems to be that the summoned body does have a maximum limit they can expend at one time, but where normal people must re-mold the chakra slowly, they get it pumped into their veins like a E-Z Pass highway system (absorbed from the ground, air, etc.).


It might not be broken... we just need more clarification from Kishimoto on Chakra's origins, and precisely how Edo Tensei operates (how it gives an infinite chakra supply).

That's only with that special technique he uses, for example; Obito and Hashirama survived the four Bijuu Dama.

Actually, if you think about it. The tree didn't attack those with similar properties. Maybe it only took the chakra it didn't have. Since Obito shares a similar chakra to Sasuke and Madara (both being Uchiha) he shares that same chakra with the beast therefore having no need to take Sasuke or Madara's chakra. Hashirama actually shares similar traits to the tree as his own chakra nature and natural energy imitates the tree (therefore he won't be targeted). In other words, perhaps the beast is grabbing everything he doesn't have yet.
