During the third Raikage's raging onslaught, troops were ordered to head toward his area to form support groups. Of those troops were many leaf shinobi including team 10, who were told specifically to form InoShikaCho formation to stop the third Raikage. Without Naruto there to intervene and help out, the team was left to face the third Raikage mostly alone.

I actually think he can solo the lower half of Akatsuki (Konan, Hidan, Kakuzu, Deidara, Sasori).

Okay, Raikage obviously wins this but can he straight up tank a jutsu like mind transfer? Just a question.

If Ino Shika Cho wasn't alone like in the OP they might have had a shot.

I doubt they can win without Intel. I don't think Shikamaru has heard of the Third Raikages impenetrable body hype. So him deducing his weakness while their about to get blitzed is out of character.

With Intel though I'd say Shikamaru would send Chouji to use his expansion jutsu and continuously belly flop.
confusing the raikage & knocking him back. (will get back to this part, WIP) Mind transfer jutsu stops the raikage long enough for Shikamaru's Shadow Possession to grab him.

Then 3rd Raikage Nukites himself just like SM Naruto forced him too. & Shikamaru comes out with a broken index finger upon trying to stab his chest with it.

He was able to withstand FRS, so nothing Team 10 has is going to be able to put him down. Nor can they incapacitate him indefinitely, only until Mind Transfer wears off. As Shikamaru's Kagemane alone can't restrain the Raikage. Not to mention he can blitz anyone on team 10.
