I know Tsunade was surprised. Thats a bit obvious. I know he was not surprised about being released. He was surprised that his body was re-attaching itself to his soul. He was surprised because he was canceled from the release. And no. He did not simply go o n in his fight. He stood there, talking about his disappointment about having to use PS twice.

My suggestion of a plot hole was disproved by THE ENTIRE REST of my statement. There was no plot hole, because as an Edo, you cannot release yourself. Just because you dont get it, doesnt mean its stupid. Truth is, Any Edo can do whatever he/she pleases, until you constrict their domain~ so to speak. The only thing that restricts their movement is the Kunai the gets placed in their head. In the anime it took 2 min for the kunai to be put inside their head. In the manga, a little less time. But, Tobirama, Creator of the jutsu, Master of Space TIme Ninjutsu, a little time means all the time in the world. He only needed a split second to release himself, if there was a way. There wasnt.

and for the blank box... That is open for interpretation. Whenever there is a sound effect, it is not in a bubble. It is just

Ugh, try look at the pages you actually quote. When Madara stops his soul from being released, he instantly tries to take out Tsunade. This is the moment, where she is saved by Dan.... So no, he doesn't stop. Madara is surprised that Tsunade was saved, and he started talking, because we needed to know, why he wasn't released along with edo tensei.

You say Tobirama just needed a split second. Well, dude, do you even understand edo tensei? Maybe I should truly explain it in every single detail..

When you summon a person with edo tensei, you need to place a seal inside him to control him. Without this, you can't release edo tensei from that person, because there is no actual contract to the summoner yet. Of course, you could use the actual release jutsu, however, this is a jutsu, which requires a bunch of seals. You saw when Itachi had Kabuto do it. This couldn't be done in a split second, so no way Tobirama could release himself.

Then the contract is placed inside him, he was forced to abide the summoner. Of course every one of us, may wonder why the 1st and 2nd didn't jump away from Oro and start fighting him from the start, but you know, that wouldn't really serve the plot in any way. Possibly you don't really care much, when you are suddenly revived like that anyway. You need to grasp the situation or whatever.

Besides, Tobirama having invented edo tensei and being a master of S/T jutsu, was not said till much later. You can't really account for everything. Fact is, what I said above is completely legit, and it justifies, what happened.

Also you need to understand the difference in releasing edo tensei, and releasing yourself from a contract with the summoner. The difference is huge.

We will soon see... Because what you account for does not solve the Itachi mystery. What was the last thing he did before going back to the pure world? He said he had one more thing to do. And what it was... (two links.)

But nonetheless... we will see what Kishi has in store for us...
Thanks for your input. I guess I just see things differently than you.

Yeah, yet, I do interpret that, as if Itachi's reason to stop edo tensei, was to get rid of Uchiha Madara. He knew nobody could defeat him. What Sasuke realized, was that Itachi wanted to get rid of Madara, but that failed.
