Edo Nagato and Itachi

In chapter 548 when Itachi and Nagato were first shown, Nagato wasn't able to walk because of his lack of chakra, as shown here.

But as you can see, when Nagato absorbed some of Naruto's chakra, he regained his mobility

What I'm wondering is, since Itachi is also Edo, why didn't Nagato just use preta path to absorb his chakra the moment they were summoned? would it not have made things easier?


Also, on a side note, I just realized that when Itachi used Amaterasu his eye bled, even though he's edo. Any explanation for that?

first of all nagato couldn't walk because edo tensei revives you how u died, unless kabuto respairs you and modifies you before using impure world and before nagato died he could not walk not because of a lack of chakra

When they were first summoned, they were not fully controlled by Kabuto. Kabuto allowed them to retain some of their emotions, motives and feelings. I don't think they wanted to fight anybody in the first place and were doing the bare minimum to keep Kabuto happy. Not gathering chakra put Nagato at a serious disadvantage at the beginning of the fight, because he couldn't move very well on his own.

If you notice at the beginning of the battle, Naruto has a conversation with Itachi and Nagato, and they are all fairly pleasant. After Kabuto makes a hand sign, though, Itachi and Nagato turn hostile and attack.

Nagato couldn't walk, even though he sucked out Bee's chakra. Even Kabuto said this is why he got hit by the Blade.

Nagato wasn't able to walk because Hanzo blew his legs up lol, chakra had nothing to do with it, that dudes never walking again, absorbing that chakra only gave him back his youth.

Like most people said Itachis eyes were bleeding due to not having EMS.

you will still bleed even if you have EMS, you just wont turn blind.

Overusing your eye is overusing your eye no matter which way you slice it. Overuse will make it hurt and thus bleed; it just won't go to the point of blindness.

Bleeding is natural when using Amaterasu because it causes tension in your eye making it bleed...

I knew Hanzo blew up his legs and all, but it had just looked like once he absorbed chakra he could walk again, maybe I just didn't see it right.

Also, I know Itachi doesn't have EMS my real question is why is an edo bleeding?
