when people say things like kabuto with edo or oro with edo beats a certain stronger character. it shouldn't count, edo isn't a constant always available jutsu and even so it's not their power so it's really kabu/oro and whoever they revive beats a stronger character. edo

By that logic The Bijuu shouldn't count as part of Rinnegan Obito's arsenal since he needs Kabuto to summon them. Same thing applies to Bijuu Susanoo Sasuke etc

Ever heard of hypothetical fights?

Saying Orochimaru & Kabuto can't count Edo Tense but Tenten with 2 tools does is kindah silly.

yes the bijuu aren't obito's power, just control. bijuu susanoo is because sasuke steals and harnesses it for his own use. hypothetical is okay but false declarations of power isn't.

you're misunderstanding, I'm saying you can't say it's their own power if they win with edo tensei. edo tensei is a cheat sheet reinforcements of other people's power.

yes but it's not their own power. edo tensei is forced anyways. summoning are mutual outside of madara with kyuubi and maybe pein with his animals.

Technically yes, all summons count as part of the summoner's power. However, if that summon is an edo, clearly one can say its actually the summoner + the summoned you are fighting in terms of power, not just the original summoner. Put simply? Regular summons like Boss Toad are considered part of Jiraiya/ Naruto's power because they have a blood contract and animals are dominated by humans. Conversely, when talking about edo's, the Edo is not part of Kabuto or Oro's power, rather its Kabuto or Oro + the power of the edo they summoned.

In addition, since Edo requires prep time anyway, its obviously not considered part of the fight unless specifically specified in the rules who is capable of being edo'd during the fight.

Kabuto said that all his edo tensei's are part of his power.

Double standard much?

Kabuto said that all his edo tensei's are part of his power.

He also said he created Madara's power, and Madara disagreed. Knowing Kabuto and Tobi, they say things that are either outright lies or totally biased opinions.

Consider the 2 following situations.

Kabuto and living Muu vs. some random opponent

and

Kabuto with full capability of summoning Edo Muu vs the same random opponent

Is there a difference in their power potential? No, because Muu and Edo Muu have the same powers and potential, minus the fact that one is immortal. Because of this, you can't say Edo's are part of Kabuto's power because its not actually his power.

Double standard much?

Is it unfair? Yes. Is it illogical? No because edo's are a special case scenario.

Summoning edo's is unfair to begin with and by the definition of the jutsu, it obviously creates its own double standard.

Ah, but can't summons basically do what Edo's do...fight independently, utilize jutsu that are otherwise unavailable to their summoner...Ninja aren't about being fair.

It is in fact illogical because a skill that is canonical is being stripped from these characters.
They use their own power to summon and bind them...Edo's are just advanced Ninja tools

But it is. They made the blood and life sacrifice to get it. Just like every other summoning contract.

That is their power, their jutsu, they fought for that.
