As long as there are the necessary seals in place then he still can use it but the kunais are just more efficient

Ninja can summon weapons too, not just animals. Sasuke and Tenten do it so I doubt Minato would face a problem.

Well If he goes to the battlefields there's thousands of kunai's and shurikens used by the Alliance, he can just pick it up and use his tags on it. Its like candy land there.

His ftg has noting to do with edo, coz its a jutsu not to mention a sealing jutsu, which it needs chakra his an edo so you could say he could go back and forth a million times to piss of madara.
