Edo Madara's eyes are worse than the current Tobi's eyes...

Edo Madara posses both the EMS and Riningan. The only down side to him having a full set of both the eyes is that he has to switch between the two in combat in order to use the abilities that the specific eye holds.

The current Tobi has a sharingan in one eye and a riningan in another. We dont know if tobi's sharingan has the capability of the EMS but we can assume that it does. the advantage of tobi having both eyes on him at the same time is that he doesnt have to swith between sharingan and riningan in combat meaning that he can kill his prey quiker than edo madara...

Im not dissing madara but his eyes kinda have a downside (having to switch)
IMO Tobi's eyes are better... just sayen.

@ Bold, No he doesn't.

He can use Susanoo even with his rinnegan active, he doesn't need to switch between eyes to use their abilities

I don't know about that. Maybe...but Madara was shown to use Susanoo with the Rinnegan rather than switching to the sharigan. I think the abilities don't really lie in the sharingan but in the kekki genkai. So I think he can use Uchiha abilities while in Rinnegan mode...

But doesnt having one sharingan translates to that fact that power of the other sharinagan is lost? Remember sasuke uses one eye to projest ama and another eye to stop it, just as itachi uses one eye to use tsuku and another to use ama. Left and right eyes have diff abilities (remember the statement ' it needs to master the power of both eyes to awaken susano') So dsnt it mean tobi has only half his sharingan abilities?

Madara can use his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan techniques with the Rinnegan he possesses, because of Rinnegan being something Madara achieved after the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

The only time I have seen Madara switching to Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan from Rinnegan was when he cast a genjutsu on A. When he first created the 25 clones, all of them had Rinnegan but in the latest chapter one of them is using its Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan to cast a genjutsu on A.
