Edo means can't come back from another dimension. And why do you think Itachi is there? Kakashi can also create an opening that Itachi use to seal him.

Are we all forgetting about Itahi's UNBREAKABLE SHIELD AND AUTO KO SWORD!!! HIS ONLY LIMIT IS CHAKRA??!! xD anyway his Genjutsu is BOSS and he has an item that can SEAL madara with 1 hit and he has forever to get that 1 hit so kakashi uses mangekyuo with itachi and try to slow him and then sword dead...
