Itachi wins. He only got f*cked up because of Sasuke honestly. WR is useless since he's an edo. Sound genjutsu is countered if Itachi has intel via Amaterasu. Izanami proceed to shit like it did in cannon. Manda II i hate to say it but it's nothing but food for Totsuka.

assuming itachi has already summoned a clone, couldn't he do the genjutsu break the same way he did with sasuke?
Itachi wins via susanoo spam, unlimited chakra with susanoo is just unfair in any case and since he's smart he will figure out inorganic reanimation is countered by amaterasu (even though thats so deus ex machina makes no sense), and yasaka mahatma totsuka blitz

intel is worthless? it's not like kabuto blitz with it, he has to form the S4 then play the flute. So what's to stop itachi from just summoning a clone to prepare to break the genjutsu (if it works) or like mercer said just use amaterasu to force him to fall back.

No, he doesn't. He only forms the other body to allow him to use combination techniques. He can use every tech and jutsu of the owners of the DNA he's assimilated. Needing one of those abilities to use the other four wouldn't make sense.
Clones get destroyed when chakra is disrupted. When Kyuubi disrupted Naruto's chakra his clones vanished during the fight with Pain. So if the same goes for Genjutsu (which disrupts chakra) it's a wrap for his clones. If he uses Crow Clones it should be alright, cause Shadow Clones still have a link with the user.
Amaterasu forces him to fall back, but then he simply goes the route of making the clone to use Genjutsu while he uses Muki Tensei to block.
So crow clones can help him escape Genjutsu but White Rage + finisher still equals GG.

Once he uses Amaterasu Kabuto is left helpless like when Sasuke used it to back him off in cannon.

Muki tensei can't even be used when Amaterasu is on the BF so thats irrelevant. Susanoo blocks anything Kabuto tries to do if he uses WR or he could use Yata to black WR.
Genjutsu does not make clones go away since Naruto mangaged to keep all his clones active when Itachi caught him in genjutsu when they met for the 2nd time in the forest. Same thing applies to when Itachi used KA genjutsu on Naruto and his clones stayed active while in the 5kage battlefield.

okay, So he doesn't have to bring out kimi to create the bone-flute then form tayuya to play it, gotcha. now that muki tensei, is it as effective outside of cave?

As long as there is inorganic material, which there will be no matter what battlefield you put them then yes, it will be effective, and even if it wasn't he can use all of Jirobo's Doton techniques.

I thought naruto's clones were just apart of itachi's genjutsu. how fast is this WR thou? Cause i'm looking at the panel when WR was used and itachi had enough time to close distance with sasuke then bring up susanoo to shield him. So yeah I don't get why itachi couldn't just shield himself until the WR ends.

Itachi can't shield himself because Susanoo can't be held up during the entire duration of the technique, which is why Sasuke dropped it after a few seconds had passed. Itachi only put his Susanoo up to block Kabuto's initial attack. That won't be enough here considering Kabuto can attack from all ranges at any moment.

Sasuke dropped his Susanoo via bones grinding against each other. Edo's don't have bones so that won't affect Itachi at all.

Last one. is it possible to destroy or lessen WR? cause I see the orb in the middle similar to how CT has it's "orb"

I used to think it was liquid, which would mean Amaterasu would work, but DB says it's light. So if it's liquid then Amaterasu destroys it. If it's light in the form of a dragon then Amaterasu fails. Though Kabuto can just block Amaterasu anyway so it really wouldn't matter.

If the orb is destroyed WR most likely won't happen since the Jutsu uses the orb before it explodes.

How can the orb be light when it's dark and in the anime it's given a solid form like a stone or something. The dragon is nothing but white light which is why it's see through the orb isn't.
