A COR should act as a shield against any of Hiruzen's elemental attacks. If Hiruzen combines five of them to hit Jiraiya with, Jiraiya simply utilises clones to form a barrage of CORs allowing them to plow through Hiruzen's elemental barrage. While Jiraiya does this, Ma and Pa are free to use their own jutsus such as frog call which can paralyse Hiruzen leading to Jiraiya taking Hiruzen out.
