Hiruzen wins High Diff. Onoki's only chance is to get outside of Hiruzen's Jutsu range and try to use Jinton, given that is was hyped to being able to destroy the Turtle Island and it was far enough back for Onoki to confuse it with background.

Although that shouldn't happen since Edo Hiruzen can summon four Kage Bunshin and have all of them including himself use five different elemental Jutsu with just one seal.

Then there's some really old hype from part one where Kabuto stated that Hiruzen was the strongest reigning leader of the 5 principal territories at the time.​

Hiruzen. I already thought old hiruzen could beat this guy long before he even came back as edo.

- Shadow clones, enma, katon and shadow shuriken are enough to interrupt/avoid jinton.
- Earth wall can also be used to block onoki's line of sight so hiruzen just makes a clone and dashes off in 2 different directions.
- Enma can fight on his own in pole form. With hiruzen tossing shuriken/attacks at onoki while enma rages him from in the air, onoki's going to have a hard time to stop and do anything.

Old hiruzen vs old onoki is debateable. Edo hiruzen is just a stomp.

Onoki wins this mid diff at most.

-Hiruzen's range attacks cant reach to Onoki when he is flying rendering them useless.
-Hiruzen only has Raiton to pierce through the Doton golem, but its size isn't enough since Golem is bigger than Bijuu. It tanks everything Hiruzen offers.
-Enma gets cached and finished by Doton: Kajūgan no Jutsu. He gets crumbled like Zetsu.

He isn't avoiding a Jinton that has a potential to blow up an Island. Lets not over wank Hiruzen because he has 5 elements.

It's already canon that Hiruzen was the strongest of the 5 kage when he was alive.

Considering a 20% version of Hiruzen ( 4 clones ) made a Juubi-sized ninjutsu, Hiruzen takes this rather easily.

As far as long range jutsus go, Hiruzen just became the king of long range.

I'd say Edo Hiruzen simply because Oonoki hasn't shown sealing techs. Kabuto may have said the 3rd was the strongest of the 5 leaders, but you have to remember no one knew how much weaker Hiruzen had gotten over the years.

Oonoki vs living, old Hiruzen = Oonoki stomps Hiruzen. Edo Hiruzen can turn the tide in his favor due to edo benefits.

It was hyped to kill the turtle island which is a living animal, not destroy it. It was a mistranslation already cleared up

Funny how in there prime Hiruzen was considered the strongest probably by a large margin, but passed there prime Onoki shits on an alive and gassed out Hiruzen.
