pretty sure madara him self said the reason edo was originally created... something about wiping out the whole battlefield including the caster. not sure what chapter in the manga but im sure one of you will know

It was created for the purpose of low risk combat, since the bodies are in a sense indestructible allies could use normally risky large scale jutsu near their team mates, like when kakashi battled hidan/kakuzu.

I think madara meant that edo tensei was created to be used on people like him and deidara who have techniques to "wipe the map" with, including the caster. Not the caster of edo tensei, but the caster of such suicide jutsu, as there would be no downside to using a suicide technique as an edo.

well my point was why are people suggesting it was created to solve this problem with what madara asked hashi, to either kill himself or his brother. when madara stated him self that it was originally created for what necromancer just stated
