It would be nice to be able to edit your old posts so that you can keep things more organized and saves the time and trouble of actually creating a new thread for your cj's just to stay organized. So why aren't we allowed to?

I agree. I needed to change something and had to ask mugi to edit and change my post, replacing my old submission with the newer updated one.

It would be could if each of us could have a sub forum (public) but were each "owner" member could edit to add or delete old stuff. However, i don understand that this would put a big amount of strain in the servers and would need both more space and trouble to the admins in terms of permissions and such. If you have 300 members with CJs you need to make permissions for each one to be able to edit posts in a given thread. It would be so much work...and that is if its even possible.

It's because People could go back and change their Jutsu's around, adding jutsu's that havn't been approved, Etc. by making a new thread it let's the RP Mods know that they edited their List.

I disagree, you can change it anyway and most likely nobody would notice, it is just stupid to do so.

If they allow editing to the threads then everyone should add a link to the jutsus that was approved so no one edits the jutsu to their fitting. That`s what I do now.

Agreed. That would be sufficient

The chance of someone noticing a small/major change in someone's custom is higher if this custom was recently approved. Someone would alter their old customs and I would have no idea whether or not it's the real deal, considering the rules back then could've been different from what they are now.

That would be the best solution.

yea but if i make a new thread I could just edit them there...(I wouldn't do that..fyi) and the only way to know would be to check the cj thread and/or the first cj list....I think its a good idea to have the edit button...but it matters not to me as you get more post this way

Just my 2 cents

If you make another thread and I feel like you've changed your custom then I just need to check your original thread ;)

That's the point of locking them.

Though, like I said, the ideal solution is to get everyone to link put the link to the post where the jutsu was approved in the CJ thread.
