[Suggestion] Edit the Jutsulist

Before you shun me for saying it's going to be a lot of work, just hear me out for a moment. I know some people are kind of sensitive (for lack of a better word) to this topic, so I'll keep it short.

I don't mean change it completely, but just order some of the jutsu around in the bigger lists so they make more sense. What I mean is that I think the jutsulist should be arranged so that it seperates the normal jutsu from character specific jutsu. It's annoying going through Water techniques for whatever technique, only to find things like "Can only be used by Suigetsu" when just looking for a specific technique.

Before you say things how you can just use the Ctrl + F option to look for the jutsu, this isn't specifically for members looking for jutsu to use in a fight, but also sensei/senpai/shishou teaching the jutsu who don't memorize exactly which jutsu appear after which jutsu and have trouble looking for the next jutsu because of all these specifics. It also helps those who can teach these specific techniques but don't have their own list. Tsunade/Sakura techs don't have their own section, same with Raikage iirc, and a few others which don't come to name right now, so I think this would be beneficial to everyone.

Ya. The character specific jutsus can be seperated by a seperator within the same rank.

Seems a bit reasonable, but not worth the change IMO. It makes sense for jutsu like that to be in there because it's supposed to include ALL Water techniques, and that classifies as Water. Same for all other techniques and their categories.

I have to agree. This would make teaching a lot easier and even make directing through the jutsus easier to find.

And this will still encompass all these extra techniques, they will just be split up from the jutsu which everyone can learn. Say a water jutsu list has 50+ jutsu on it and five of them are only useable by Hozuki clan members. It will mention in this rank, all the water jutsu in whatever order, and then all the jutsu which can only be used by a Hozuki clan member after the initial list.

I would have to say i disagree. Its not that much work actually looking for the technique, but for the mods, it'll be a massive job. Everything in the RP would be on hold simply because we couldn't be bothered to scroll down a little bit for looking for a specific technique.

Another problem is, many senseis and senpais basing their entire training methods on the order given, it would offset trainings in progress as people may end up skipping jutsu or re-learning jutsu.

The final problem would have to be character specific Jutsu. People like Kakuzu only have about 1/2 specific jutsu, does that mean he gets two separate spots ? There are countless characters like this, especially in the Ninjutsu thread. It would become far too much mess.

You could always do this for yourself individually by making a word document and saving the Jutsu in whatever order you wish.

Like you said in your thread, CTRL + F is the ideal option since if you have a bit of the jutsu's name in your mind (wish you should) then you'll find it with ease.

It wouldn't be too big of a job. The problem only really lies in the Base 5, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu and Taijutsu, not to mention we just got three new RP mods who I'm sure could easily do it, seeing as they seem to have memorized the jutsulist given their status in training. I don't get the second point though, senseis and senpai basing their entire training methods on skipping these jutsu which are character/clan specific anyway? I don't know what you mean.

Ninjutsu aside, there aren't many characters who'd have this dilemna. Just to name a few, Raikage, Tsunade/Sakura, Hozuki, Tayuya, Tobi/Madara, Second Mizukage and a few others which I can't name off the top of my head.

Ctrl + F is always an option, but I'm not just thinking of myself here. Imagine you're teaching and you have to skip through 3-4 jutsu all the time just because of this slight inconvenience. As a sensei you're not going to remember the names of every technique to just look it up. Even for someone who RPs a unique character who wouldn't have their own space for their own jutsu like Kakuzu, Kidomaru, Hiruko etc. it helps them out plus anyone who can teach said techniques.

I'll get on it and add it to my list for the updates to be done in 2013. However, don't expect it to happen overnight and don't expect it to be done in one day. Tons of other stuff that are pending take priority. As useful and good as this may be, its still only a detail. One that while useful is not a priority.
