(Doton: Iwa no Hogo) - Earth Release: Earth Shelter Technique
Type: Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

A defensive jutsu where the user uses the earth around them to create a formation of rock around themselves and allies that are within range. If needed the user can create opening within the shelter to see what is happening outside of it.

(Doton: Iwa Enchou no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Earth Dome Technique
Type: Supplementary/Defensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description: The user slams his hands on the ground and creates a 1/4 dome of earth, which protects them from frontal external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to wood release: wood locking walls.

Another earth jutsu in which the user slams both hands onto the ground to create a dome of earth which protects a quarter of the user, mainly from the front.

Two advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
  • 1. If you were to use this in the NW for whatever reason you would leave barely any ecological footprint. This is an advantage since you'd be avoiding suspicion should another ninjas pass through, especially at a time of war between multiple nations.
  • 2. Another with this technique is that, as you said, you can create gaps in the structure which would allow you still keep your sight of the opponent. Ir you're a sharingan wielder you could leave an obvious gap to trick the opponent into looking through, after which you'd make eye contact and induce them into a genjutsu of your choosing. But of course not everyone wields a sharingan. You could also potentially, after using this technique, leave a clone in your place and go underground.
Two disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
  • 1. Aside from the obvious, with this technique you're severely limiting your field of vision. If you don't have some sort of sensory tech active the opponent can use spawn a destructive jutsu from either of your many blind spots. And even if you had a sensory tech active, you'd be forced on the back pedal when the opponent uses an S Rank or above lightning tech. To defend you'd have to break through your own B Rank jutsu as well as deal with the rank of the incoming jutsu.
  • 2. As well as your field of vision, you're limiting the amount of space you avaliable to you. If the opponent decides to spawn a destructive jutsu near you from one of your blind spots, you'd be in a tight spot because you're confined.
How would you use it in battle: I probably wouldn't. In the off case I were to, and if the predicament allowed, I'd use it for the sole purpose of leaving a clone in my stead and going underground.
Perform it: Chrollo molds and seeps Doton chakra into the ground below him. From this he lifts his chakra causing earth from the surface to stand to attention in a 1.5 meter radius around him.

Two advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
  • 1. A simple technique so not much space for creativity. This is somewhat a better technique compared to the first because you're not confining yourself; while protecting your front you're still able to do other things as far preparing for your offense is concerned.
  • 2. A multipurpose jutsu - once it's defensive purposes are over you can use it as a basis for other earthen techniques - particularly ones involved with launching projectiles.
Two disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
  • 1. View of the opponent is obstructed.
  • 2. Unless you have a sensory tech active, you're unable to tell if the opponent has followed up with another jutsu, and moving to the side or jumping up to peer over the wall is just going to eat away value time.
How would you use it in battle:Like the one preceded before it, I wouldn't use it at all. But if I were to then I suppose it'd be to defend from a water jutsu before doing a disappearing act.
Perform it: Having already made earth chakra, Chrollo attempts to perform the sister jutsu. He channels his chakra into the ground before him in a semi-circle and springs forth a wall that curves over him.

(Doton: Fukusuu no Dorosandan) - Earth Release: Multiple Mudshot Technique
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: This jutsu is basically a widespread version of the Mudshot Technique; allowing the user to fire at multiple targets.

Simply a more advance version of the mudshot jutsu where instead of releasing one glop of mud at your opponent you are able to shoot multiple.

(Doton: Doryūha) - Earth Release: Earth Flow Wave
Type: Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Mid-Long
Chakra: 20
Damage: 40
Description: After performing the required handseal sequence: Rat → Snake → Tiger the user creates and rides a wave of earth that can branch of to attack from a distance. The user can also use the technique to manipulate the terrain and trap the target by wrapping earth round their legs preventing them from moving

After making the needed hand-seals you will send your chakra into the ground and cause the earth below you to rise up in the form of a wave to use to attack from a distance or to change the terrain to trap your opponent.

(Doton: Doro Ookami) - Earth Release: Mud Wolves
Type: Supplementary/Offensive
Rank: B
Range: Short
Chakra: 20 (+10 per reformed wolf)
Damage: 10 (per wolf attack)
Description: A trap technique in which the user will place somewhere and is activated upon contact with the opponent's chakra. The user uses a scroll to lay the trap in which releases mud that forms into the shape of wolves that will attack the enemy target/s. Despite being damaged the wolves can reform which can keep the enemy occupied to allow the enemy make a getaway. (Can only create a maximum of 3 mud wolves)
Note: Takes one turn to set the trap up and wolves only last two turns

Using a scroll you will place it somewhere on the field and when it comes into contact with an enemies chakra it will activate causing the scroll to release mud in the form of wolves to appear and attack those who came into contact with the scroll. The great thing about this is that even if the wolves are damage(to a certain degree) they can keep reforming to keep your opponent(s) occupied. Though since this is a trap jutsu it does take some time to set up and the number of wolves that are made are limited.
