1. Chakra(Chakura) is essential to even the most basic technique; it is the moulding of the physical energy present in the body. Once moulded, it can be channelled through the chakra circulatory system, which is to chakra as the regular circulatory system is to blood, to any of the 361 chakra points in the body. Through various methods, the most common of which is hand seals, the chakra can then be controlled and manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water, exhaling fire,earth manipulation or creating illusions.

Nature Manipulation:Chakra transformation is an advanced form of chakra control. It entails the moulding and defining of one's chakra into an innate type of chakra nature, altering its properties and characteristics. Nature transformation is one of two necessary techniques for creating a technique, its counterpart being shape transformation. Few shinobi can use both shape manipulation and nature manipulation.
Handseals:Hand Seals are used to perform many ninjutsu, genjutsu, and other secret arts other than taijutsu. The exact amount of chakra necessary to perform a technique is manipulated through hand seals. There are different sequences of hand seals for every technique, requiring memorisation.
While techniques may require a number of hand seals to work, a skilled ninja can use less or even one to perform the same technique. Earth+Water=Mud, wet soil, clay
Earth+Fire, we have hot sand, molten magma, lava
Earth+Wind has not real combination. Though there is dust particles that hovers, trillions of them, some that we don't even see.
Earth+Lightning: Earth is a very good conductor of electricity allowing lightning to pass through and break it apart.

Gaara focuses his chakra very well, he then managed to change it into doton chakra as he had done earlier. He then channels the chakra to his palms. After doing this, Gaara begins to seep the chakra out of his palm. The chakra starts to accumulate and then proceeds to form a rock.
After this, Gaara channels Doton chakra into his hands and proceeds to press the rock using shape manipulation to alter its shape into a long spear.

Now instead of creating earth from your body, I'm gonna teach you how to manipulate existing ones. Pick up a rock and flow your chakra into it. Allow your chakra to become one with earth then manipulate the rock so that it forms into a long spear.

Gaara drops the spear. After he had dropped the spear, he then picks up a rock and channels his doton chakra through his hands into the rock. He synchronized his chakra with the rock and allowed his chakra to become one with the rock. Applying shape manipulation, he begins to manipulate the rock into a long spear.
