I prefer a little more in-depth replies, but that will do for now.1. Why do you want to learn doton? I want to learn Doton because I feel like it is a powerful and versatile element. My favorite element is water and I feel like to become a true master of that I need to be able to fully understand and know how to use Earth as well.
2. What is doton? Doton is Earth Release. It can be used offensively or defensively with Mud, dirt or rock.
3. What is doton strong/weak against? Doton is strong against water as it simply absorbs it, while being weak to lightning as lightning can easily pierce through earth and break it apart.
4. 5 users who use doton. Deidara, Nagato Uzamaki , Yamato , Kakashi , Hashirama Senju
5. 2 KG that use doton. Wood release (with water) and Lava Release ( with fire )
Well done.I take the piece of paper from my sensei and hold it directly in front of me with both hands on each side of the paper. I start to gather my chakra heavily in my hands an imagine the Earth and all of its properties. When ready, I expel my chakra slightly into the paper, turning it into dirt and crumbling through my fingers.

One/three advantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
One/three disadvantages (no obvious ones, be creative):
- 1. Can be used to make a weapon
- 2. Used to evade an attack with the pillars
- 3. No hand seals required
How you would use it in battle: If user attacked me with a mid-long range attack via the ground I would use the pillars to evade it (launching me up)
- 1. Is not a powerful attack
- 2. Can't be used long range
- 3. No real disadvantages as this is a simple jutsu not really intended for attack
How you would counter it: Feel the earth chakra beneath me and dodge?
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): While standing still I gather my chakra at the soles of my feet. When ready I release my chakra through my feet and into the ground, creating a pillar. The pillar throws me about 5 meters in the air before I land on my feet.

(Doton: Moguragakure no Jutsu) – Earth Release: Hiding like a mole technique
Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Long
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user changes earth into fine sand by channeling chakra into it, allowing the user to dig through it like a mole. While underground one can sense what is happening on the surface and use the information to launch a surprise attack on the enemy. Once can also hide deep in the ground, escaping to a depth where the enemy cant reach. It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.
