So first tell me all you know of Doton, its weaknesses and strengths. Also any and all physical divergence and characteristics you've seen.

Earth style is one of the basic five elemental natures. Though more of a defensive element than offensive, it deals with types that include the manipulation of rock, dirt, mud, and one some cases, sand. It is weak to lightning because of its cutting power and strong against water since it can absorb it. However when it soaks up too much water it becomes mud and loses its strength. Earth style is a component of several bloodline limits (kekkei genkai & kekkei tota) which include:
Lava = Earth & Fire
Wood = Earth & Water
Blast = Earth & Lightning
Dust = Earth & Fire & Wind
Wiki says that it is also the component of Crystal and Magnet release but not sure if it is true or just speculation. Earth style has been shown to have the ability to change density, going from hard as metal or soft as sand.
There's a lot of earth users but the one's that stand out to me are Oonoki, Gaara (casuse of the sand), and Kurotsuchi. Special mentions to Yamato, Hashirama, and Muu.

I begin by gathering my Doton chakra into the surrounding ground and manipulating it. After gathering the required chakra I manipulate the chakra to shoot a pillar of earth out of the ground striking into the back of a training dummy.
I use the already created earth pillar to break of a chunk of rock from it's tip. I then hold the rock in my hand and begin manipulating it with my Doton chakra, the rock begins to form into a staff and I then smash it on the head of the training dummy.
I begin by gathering my Doton chakra into my right arm and hold it out in front of me. I release my Doton chakra and manipulate it to take the shape of several pieces of rock that form a ring around my body. I then release the rocks at the training dummy hitting it in the chest.
