I'm a bit confused about the whole Dust Release matter and I decided to post it on here to see if anyone could give further insight into the matter.

Dust Release is classified as a kekkei touta (bloodline selection), but the only known users of Jinton (Mu & Onoki) don't have any blood relations to each other. In that case it couldn't really classify as a kekkei (bloodline) then, since it isn't genetic.

If so is it a hiden jutsu like the Nara, Akimichi clan jutsu? If then what are the factors that allow one to use Jinton. Does one have to already possess Earth, Wind & Fire natures and the secret merely states how to merge them? or is there a ritual that alters the users body or genes to implement the Jinton kekkei touta?

I'm merely confused. Is Jinton a kekkei touta, hidenjutsu, or something else completely? It states on the wiki that it's a kekkei touta, but i'm a bit skeptic at that. I'm sorry if the answer has already been stated somewhere in the manga or anime, because i'm not an avid reader of the manga and I'm starting to lose interest in the anime as of late. I merely searched up Jinton on the Naruto wiki and there was a sparse amount of info there.:erm:

Yeah, but a kekkei touta is merely an advanced form of a kekkei genkai which are genetic. Since Kekkei genkai are genetic, I thought that would apply to kekkei touta as well.

As far as a know no Kekkei Genkai can be learnt, the Yuki ninja withstanding as they can only use Hyouton where there is surrounding ice or snow. I suppose it may be that way because Dust is all around us. Maybe Onoki merely uses Jinton like the Yuki ninja use Hyouton, by manipulating the dust around him. I'm still confused though. Either Kekkei Touta are special or Kishi overlooked that one.

I'm diggin the sig. Very funny. As for your thread, I thought kekkei genkai and touta were mixtures of elements(ie mokuton, ice, and lava release) now they say its a genetic characteristic passed down. I'm still lost

Thank for the compliment. I'm confused too that's why I posted this thread. If Jinton wasn't genetic they should have never added the kekkei (bloodline) in it because that signifies it's genetic as anyother think classified as kekkei (e.g. kekkei genkai) are all genetic and since Jinton is the only Kekkei Touta there is no reference. Besides a Kekkei Genkai is a genetic trait passed down through a family (e.g. Byakugan, Sharingan, Hyouton e.t.c.) A Kekkei Touta is a mixture of three elements (e.g. Jinton = Earth + Wind + Fire). The Kekkei in the Touta confuses me.

The meaning of Kekkei Genkai has switched from it's original concept it seems.

Originally there were only a few Kekkei Genkai like Sharingan,Byakugan,Kimimaru's Bone ability then with the introduction of Haku and his Ice jutsu Kekkei Genkai started transforming into a combination of chakra natures to create a new one like lava release or mokuton, which they explained can only be done by certain people with "special blood"(I believe is how they explain it) Which is why even though Tsunade has the blood of Hashirama and Tobirama she can not use Mokuton, I don't think she can even use water style so chakra natures are not even necessarily genetic, despite seeing every Uchiha know Fire style.

Keekai Touta is I believe the combination of three chakra natures into one attack and as of now I believe only Oonoki and Muu have been shown to perform any Kekkai Touta. Muu also stated that he taught it to Oonoki ignoring the precedent of bloodline. Maybe people mis-focused on bloodline when the requirements mean that a special blood is needed, implying only a few are capable of utilizing the technique.

The one thing I don't get is if Haku had a Kekkei Genkai and it is passed through a bloodline then his parents, cousins etc should have had this "amazing" KG as well yet his whole clan(village if I remember right) were wiped out. If Haku, a kid, was so good with it and it was in his bloodline how were they killed so easy?
