So we all know that Dust Release is the only Kekkei Tota, being the combination of Earth, Wind, and Fire natures. My question is, why is it considered a Kekkei Tota or bloodline inheritance, because Onoki was not in any way related to Mu, but was still passed down the Nature type, not from his bloodline but just from teaching. So why should this be considered a Kekkei Tota if it can be taught unlike some other bloodlines such as Wood, Lava, Crystal, Dark, Boil, Swift, Steel, Magnet, etc.

Because its requires three elements instead of two...
It means advanced nature release.

I don't understand either. It's similar to 3rd raikage and darui. They are not related and black lightning is a KG. yet he taught it to darui.

"Kekkei tōta (血継淘汰; Literally meaning "a selection of blood inheritance" or "Bloodline Selection") is an advanced form of a kekkei genkai."

"Kekkei genkai (血継限界; Literally meaning "a technique limited to inheritance by blood" or "Bloodline Limit") are abilities passed down genetically in specific clans."

both taken from the wiki, so that means that it has to be passed down by blood.

Yeah but the meaning of Kekkei Genkai is blood inherited, so there should be a specific name for those that are not passed down by blood.

I agree with that as well, weird how it means bloodline inheritance but yet things like Black Lightning and Dust release are not bloodline related at all

I didnt mean word for word. Wood release is a Kekkei genkai but only three people have been shown using it. It requires the mixture of earth and water. Dust is the same except with fire earth and wind.

Villages are considered to be of the same blood. May explain why some who are totally unrelated can learn it. It is called an advanced bloodline because people in the village share a closer relationship in genes than in other places.

Just a theory. :|

I dont think black lightning is a kkg, i think its more like rasengan and chidori cause only a few can do them because they where taught it.

Yeah but to use Wood, you need the DNA of the first Hokage, which is much more bloodline related than just a teaching

But if it was that way, then more people would have used wood.

I don't get what you mean here? How would more people use wood, because of what? sorry just didn't understand your sentence.
