I agree, those who say Dust Release is genetic have no proof. Mu probably taught ononki how to use jinton. If you have fire, wind and earth nature you can combine all three to use jinton

My point was jinton could be a bloodline ability like the sharingan. An ability on a select few in the bloodline can use, just like the sharingan.

I don't believe there's any definitive proof that it's not genetic. Neither Onoki nor Mu's family or clan names are known and both are from the same village. They could be related for all we know.
