[size=+2] Chapters 7 & 8: Reunion and Abduction
[/size][size=+1] As they began down the road, Keotsu asked "So we are to escort the Fuedul lord and his daughter safely back to there home and protect them from...bandits along the way?" He tried to say it in a way as to not worry Berrry. Asuma replied "Yes, we need to let them get there safely." Shikamaru said, "Yes. This is actually a very important mission in forming friendly relations between the Leaf and the Waves."
As they began down the road, Keotsu was the first one to sense the presence of enemy ninja. He made the signal to be on guard: he held up three fingers. The others replied that they saw his signal with a single finger. They formed a square around Mr. Elevant and Berry. "Honey, this is going to get a little scary, but just stay close to me." said Mr. Elevant. They stopped.
Then, suddenly, five ninja jumped out of the forest. They were clothed in a black shinobi garb with a star broken into five parts on the left shoulder. The symbol of The Guru. Keotsu froze with fear, as the memories flooded back to him. A single hand placed on his sholder snapped him out of it. "Don't worry. Lady Hokage warned me about the history between you and these people. Feel free to sit this one out." said Asuma. "No, I have to face my fear eventually. And on top of that, I have a duty as a...Konoha shionbi." Keotsu said confidently.
Suddenly, the ninja rushed him. With kunai draw, Keotsu charged in head long. The enemy's kunai caught him just across the cheek. Just as he had hoped. Keotsu pulled out the brown package and unwrapped to reveal an empty sword hilt. The same one used by Samuel three-hundred years before...
"Akarusa hidden jutsu: Blood Creation!" he yelled as he activated his kekkai genki by taking the blood on his hand. Suddenly, the sword was covered in chakra, and a blade formed. The sword was now complete. His families heirloom restored. He charged in and with the sword and his allies help quickly dispersed the attackers.
Well, was fairly easy." commented Asuma as he lit a cigarette. Not looking back at the defeated shinobi, Keotsu said "C'mon. We've already wasted too much time." "Wait, what was with that sword and what was with the jutsu you used?" asked Shikamaru. Keotsu sighed....
As they sat around the campfire, Keotsu started to explain the history of the Twilight village (I'm not going to explain it here. If you want to know read chapter one and the prologues.) and then moved on to his Kekka Genki. "My family has the ability of Blood Creation. This allows us to create real materials at the cost of a little damage to our self. These are better than Shadow Clones as they make a complete copy of an object, depending on either the blood give as a summoning or the amount of chakra pumped into the jutsu. It's mainly used after receiving damage in the midst of battle. Like wise, if I made a clone, a Blood Clone, it would be as strong as me, at the cost of halve my chakra and a large amount of blood." said Keotsu. "What about the sword?" asked Ino curiously.
The sword belonged to Samuel. As soon as it was touched by some one else,legend states that the blade ceased to exist. It is said that only a Twilight Child from his family could return the blade. It will never break and will alter its form to best suit me." Keotsu explained. They were all silent. "Now's not the time for this. But once we finish this mission, I want you to tell us about yourself if your going to be on our squad." Asuma stated plainly. "I understand." said Keotsu.
Three days later, they had successfully reached the land of Waves without any other complications. "Thank you for your help. I really do appreciate your protection." said Mr. Evalent. "Thats what we're here for sir." said Choji. "Thank you, again. Your welcome here anytime." Mr. Evalent said graciously. "Thank you, sir." said Ino.
As they walked out of the village something caught Keotsu's eye. There on the ground lay an old and damaged butterfly clip. "Rena...T-this i-is Rena's!" he yelled. He closed his hand around the hair pin and ran his chakra through it to trace her presence as he turned back and ran into the village. "Keotsu! Wait!...Oh, what a drag..." Shikarmaru said annoyed.
As he rounded the corner, he didn't need to use his chakra anymore. He made eye contact with a beautiful girl with shoulder length brown hair, and deep green eyes. Around her neck was a Twilight village head band and as she realized who she was looking at tears came to her eyes as she ran towards him. "Keotsu! I-I thought you were dead!" Rena said, sobbing. Tears were in Keotsu's eyes as he replied, "I knew you weren't dead. I've done nothing but look for you for the last 5 years." She hugged him while she started to cry with joy.
"There you are...What a pain. Over here, guys!" yelled Shikamaru. As they rushed over Ino said teasingly, "Ooooh, who's this Keotsu?" Wiping tears from his eyes he said "Guy's, meet Rena." "So this is the person Lady Hokage mentioned." said Asuma.
It was three hours later in an Inn and Keotsu was catching up with Rena. "So your still a ninja?" asked Rena. "Yeah, I actually legally belong to Konoha now. You?" he asked. "I'm not registered to any nation, but ever since then I have been studying ninjutsu and medical jutsu. One of the ladies here actually knows Tsunade very well and she agreed to train me." Rena replied. "Alright you two. I know your glad to see each other, and since I assume that Rena is coming with us to Konoha, you'll have plenty of time to talk on the way." said Asuma as he yawned; it was 3 a.m.
Later that night, a powerful sleeping agent was pumped into the room. A strange figure clothed in black took Rena. He left a note. It said: "We have Rena. If you want her back come to cave of the Trials of Mithril." Signed The Guru.. Keotsu read the note furiously and left the next morning to the caves north of the old Twilight Village. He left the old note and a single note saying where he was going. He was not going to lose Rena again...
"We have captured her and have confirmed that the boy is on his way here." said The Guru. "Very well, I assume you are all set?" said a hologram. The Guru said, "Yes, all will go according to plan....Master Tobi."
