[/size][size=+1] Keotsu awoke and looked at the alarm clock: 5:00 A.M. "I should get ready..." said Keotsu as he rolled out of bed. Pulling his clothes on and gathering his supplies, he headed for Lady Hokage's office.
As she headed towards Keotsu's house, she was passed by him. It took Sakura a moment to realize who it was because it was so early. "Hey, Keotsu!" yelled Sakura turning back. "Hmm? Oh, Sakura. Good morning. I was just headed to the Lady Hokage's office." said Keotsu. Groggily, Sakura replied, "C'mon. I'll take you there; I was actually coming to get you."
"Keotsu Akarusa...Genin. Let's see...due to your abilities, from what I know, I've decided to place you on Team Asuma." said Tsunade. "Fine with me." said Keotsu. "Here," said Tsunade' holding out a Leaf headband, "I don't suppose you'll accept this, but its a symbol of your now being a Leaf shinobi." Keotsu accepted the headband, much to everyone's surprise, and put it on his forehead. He took his old Twilight headband and attached it to his sholder. "Is this okay, its just..." started Keotsu. "It's perfectly fine." said Tsunade.
"Checkmate." said Shikamaru to Asuma as Keotsu approached them. "Oh hey, its you, umm... Keotsu, right?" said Asuma. "Yes sir. I've been assigned to your squad." reported Keotsu, rather unaffected by the decision. "What a drag... Another person to look after..." replied Shikamaru. "Hey! I've got pretty good skills, and I could probably beat you in chess too!." yelled Keotsu. (I know the actual game is shougi, but I don't know enough about it so I replaced it with chess.) "I would LOVE to see that." laughed Asuma.
"Hahahaha! Would you look at that! A stalemate!" exclaimed Asuma. "Hmm...Maybe I underestimated you." replied Shikamaru. "Mmmm...What was that about stale chips Asuma-sensei?" replied Choji as he approached with Ino. "Nothing. I'd like you two to meet Keotsu, again. He was assigned to our squad." replied Asuma. "Cool. I don't know if you remember, but I'm Ino." replied Ino. "Don't worry, I never forget a face or a name..." stated Keotsu.
"Alright, now on to the mission briefing." said Asuma. "We are to escort a Mr. Evalant and his daughter back to the Land of Waves. This is an A-rank mission, because they are Feudel Lords." said Asuma. "The Wave Country!" exclaimed Keotsu. "Yes, I want you all back here in one hour and be ready to go." said Asuma.
Keotsu had gathered his supplies and was wondering weather or not to take the strange clothe wrapped thing with him. He decided to. He might actually need it, if this was and A-rank mission. He left and went back to the village entrance to wait for the others.
"Daddy, are these the people taking us back home?" asked Berry, 9 years old and the Fuedel Lord's daughter. "Yes, sweetie. They are here to protect us." replied Mr. Evalant. "Well enough chatter, lets get going Mr. Evalant." stated Asuma. "Right!" yelled Ino. "Whatever..." commented Shikamaru. *Munchmunchmunch* "Yeah, lets head out so we can get back and have barbecue!" Choji eagerly said.
As they walked out of the village only one thought crossed Keotsu's mind: "I'm coming, Rena!"
