As Mingus rushed towards the swordsmen, he shot bone pellets into the openings of his sword, stopping all the needles. ?Mingus, move!? said Keotsu smearing the blood from the needles that hit his arm. From the puncture wounds on his arm, he used the blood and created explosive senbon. ?Blood Creation: Explosive Weaponry!? Before the smoke cleared, Kiwii launched two leopards towards the swordsmen. They came flying out the smoke.
?You ruined my day, and your attacking me? Fine, be that way. Water Rapture!? Spikes of water came up out of the ground, and formed around Mingus. With a blur of hand signs, Rena formed whips of light, and stopped the spikes. ?Keotsu, Kiwii, now!? she yelled. Keotsu drew Mikomi as Kiwii drew to white katanas. Rushing towards the swordsman, they slung their swords, and the swordsman?s sword broke into two parts, and slid down on onto his arms. Using his now bladed forearms, he blocked Keotsu and Kiwii?s strikes.
Mingus used the distraction Kiwii and Keotsu made, and used a Body Flicker to get next to the swordsmen, and used his Kekkai Genkai and turned his rib cage into a cage which he used to restrain the swordsmen. Keotsu formed a few more senbon, and thrust them into the swordsmen neck, making him unconscious.
?Well, that was no fun.? said Keotsu, lifting up four empty bottles of Sake. ?He was drunk.? ?Yes, but taking advantage of an enemies deteriorated state is always a bonus.? said Hasashi, ?and how are you going to take him back to the village. I noticed you purposely missed the vitals, Keotsu.? ?I?ll take care of that.? said Rena. She made a few hand signs, and water whips tied themselves around the swordsmen hands, feet, and fingers, so he couldn?t use jutsu if he woke up.
As it turned out, the particular swordsmen they where supposed to capture was already dead, and the person they had fought was the ANBU who killed him. He wasn?t expecting them for a few more days, which was why he was drunk. Keotsu?s group got a 500 point bonus, for not only being the first to complete their mission, but as well as being one of the only squads smart enough to bring back the ?body? of the ?enemy?.
Keotsu was examining his report and saw that he was forty points over the required limit, meaning he could already advance to Chunin level. Keotsu didn?t score the in the highest three; that was Gaara, Neji, and Shino. But it turned out that all the Genin from Keotsu?s group, and Naruto?s class actually made enough points to pass the exam. He felt that somehow he had cheated, or that maybe the test was easier than it was supposed to be?
?I swear, I drank them the day before! I just fell asleep by the time they got there!? said the ANBU. ?Uh-hu. Your on Academy duty all week.? said Tsunade. ?Man, my week just keeps getting worse and worse.? said the ANBU.
Keotsu walked into Tsunade?s office. ?Congratulations on your promotion to Chunin, Keotsu.? ?Thank you?? said Keotsu, somewhat distant. ?Keotsu. Snap out of it!? yelled Tsunade. ?Huh? Oh, sorry?? he replied. It was silent for a few moments. ?Ma?am. Tomorrow is 6 months from the day that the Guru made his declaration of attack?.? said Keotsu. ?We know?We have already spotted a massive army of maybe 6,000 or more?Tonight at 8, we go into Level One Emergency State. Keotsu, after the attack on the Leaf earlier this year, we want this battle as far from the village as possible. Gaara, Mingus, Kiwii, and the others, including your exam proctors, have agreed to stay, in order to fight his army. I want you to lead the attack forces tomorrow.?
?Me?!? said a surprised Keotsu. ?Yes, if anyone knows anything about the Guru, its you. This is a S+ rank mission, and your first as a Chunin, and I have your squad picked out for you. Come on in!? she yelled.
Rena, Tetsugi, Asuma,and Kakashi walked in. ?Also, there are two more members, who stopped by for just this purposed.? Keotsu was surprised. ?Rei! Mizu!? ?If it weren?t for you, we might not have gotten out of that prison. This is your fight. You have a mission to fufil.? said Mizu.
?Ma?am. I accept charge of this mission.? said Keotsu. It was two hours later, and they stood at the edge of the fire country, and they could see the army the Guru had brought. Keotsu scanned the small, but elite army that the Leaf had produced. He looked at all his comrades. ?Rena. Dad. Mizu. Rei. Kiwii. And Mingus. Lets start this thing. We come home victorious, or not at all.? said Keotsu.
?This is my test, and no one will die on my watch.?
